Heading into Oregon State’s 2024-25 men’s basketball season, the Beavers’ nonconference schedule looked ripe for winning.

OSU has made the most of it so far, a 4-0 start following wins over Utah Tech, Weber State, Western Oregon and Cal State-Fullerton. But as November has progressed, so has the difficulty of the Beavers’ remaining nonconference games.

Based on ratings by KenPom.com, up to five of the remaining nine nonconference opponents are ranked among the top 100. Oregon (4-0) is the highest ranked at No. 31.

After Oregon, the Beavers play Monday at No. 75 North Texas (3-1). On December 14, OSU plays No. 55 UC Irvine (4-0) at Gill Coliseum. Oregon State finishes nonconference play at the Diamond Head Classic, Dec. 22-25. The Beavers open against Charleston (3-1), then could face No. 92 Loyola Chicago (5-0), No. 66 Nebraska (3-1) or No. 91 Murray State (2-1).

Oregon State is No. 99 in KenPom.

The season’s first NCAA NET rankings come out in December.
