Muldrow boys, Roland girls win Seqouyah County (Okla.) Tournament

ROLAND, Okla. -- The Muldrow (Okla.) Bulldogs used a late first-half run to coast to a 57-47 win over Sallisaw (Okla.) Central to win the 21st renewal of the Sequoyah County Tournament on Monday night at the Ranger Dome.

Muldrow (7-4), the second seed in the tournament, broke away from a 20-20 tie with the final nine points of the first half and added 18 points in a decisive third quarter to pull away.

DeShawn Willson started the run with a three-pointer, Teaguen Collins followed with a slam, Jesse Kilinc swished a three-pointer and Collins finished the 9-0 run with a free throw for a 29-20 halftime advantage.

Deandre Massey added a pair of threes in the third quarter, and Kilinc added another as the Bulldogs opened up a 47-31 lead after three quarters.
