Study at NTNU
NTNU is an internationally oriented university with campuses in Trondheim, Gjøvik and Ålesund. The university has a technical-scientific main profile, a range of professional education programs, and a wide academic breadth that also includes humanities, social sciences, economics, medicine, health sciences, educational science, architecture, entrepreneurship, art disciplines, and artistic activities.
Nearly 10% of NTNU's students are international, from 121 countries. Prospective students have several options, including full-degree or exchange studies, doctorates and more.
Degree studies
NTNU offers more than 60 international master's programmes taught entirely in English. In addition, we offer a number of double and joint degrees in cooperation with other institutions.
Exchange studies
NTNU welcomes thousands of exchange students from partner universities abroad. Exchange students typically attend NTNU for a period of 3-12 months before returning to their home university.
PhD opportunities
Doctoral research programmes are available in most disciplines at NTNU.
Continuing education
Open and in-house courses and programmes for further education, professional development and part time studies - tailored for people in full-time employment.
