Centre of Excellence
NTNU AMOS - Centre for Autonomous Marine Operations and Systems 2013-2023
NTNU AMOS ended its adventure end of June 2023 fulfilling the standard 10 years of Centre of Excellence scheme. Here you can find the final and annual reports.
Researchers at NTNU AMOS worked between the disciplines to create a world-leading centre for autonomous marine operations and control systems.
NTNU AMOS has contributed with fundamental and interdisciplinary knowledge in marine hydrodynamics, ocean structures, marine biology, marine archaeology, and control theory.
The research results are being used to develop intelligent ships and ocean structures, autonomous unmanned vehicles (under water, on the sea surface, in air and space) and robots for high-precision and safety-critical operations in harsh environments.
