'Danny Phantom' to Join NickRewind Schedule from Monday, April 20

NickRewind is going ghost! Nickelodeon's TV destination for the most loved Nick content from the 1990s and beyond will be adding Danny Phantom to its line-up on Monday, April 20, with two episodes airing back-to-back everyday from 4:53 a.m. (ET/PT)!

Danny Phantom, the second Nicktoon created by Butch Hartman, premiered on April 3, 2004 and ran for 53 episodes over three seasons. It spawned two video games, Danny Phantom: The Ultimate Enemy and Danny Phantom: Urban Jungle, plus appearances in over a dozen more. Most recently, Danny Phantom made a appearance in Butch Hartman's original Nickelodeon short, The Fairly Odd Phantom, along with characters from Fairly OddParents, T.U.F.F. Puppy and Bunsen Is a Beast in February 2017.

Additional changes to the Nick Rewind from Monday, April 20 are: Clarissa Explains it All, The Amanda Show, and Zoey 101 are no longer in the schedule. Hey Arnold! moves into Rocko's Modern Life's old timeslot and Rocko will air much later in the night. Doug will air daily.

NickRewind airs nightly on the TeenNick channel.

NICKELODEON ADDS HULU IN JAPAN WITH THE LAUNCH OF ITS NEW LINEAR OTT STREAMING CHANNEL

1st ever launch of a Nickelodeon linear channel now available only on OTT with both NTT-DOCOMO’S “dTV-Channel” and Hulu in Japan

TOKYO, 30 JANUARY 2018 – Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has announced its additional Nickelodeon distribution deal with Hulu in Japan today, which sees the new Nickelodeon linear channel via ‘over-the-top’ (OTT) and mobile platforms in Japan. The channel goes live today on both Hulu in Japan and “dTV-ChannelTM” (an NTT DOCOMO INC’s service). This is the first time internationally Viacom has made a Nickelodeon-branded subscription TV channel available only via streaming services.

The newly packaged subscription-based 24/7 linear channel offers original programming for Japanese audiences and a range of iconic Nickelodeon animation titles including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and new hits like Shimmer & Shine and Blaze and the Monster Machine.

“Launching Nickelodeon today in Japan is a significant milestone for us as we continue to evolve our business with new avenues of growth from OTT and mobile for our flagship brands in mature subscription TV markets like Japan. Furthermore, we are reconnecting Japanese viewers with Nickelodeon, through the channel’s availability not only on one, but two OTT platforms in Japan today,” said Mark Whitehead, President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Viacom International Media Networks.

The extended collaboration with Hulu in Japan follows the successful launch of MTV MIX channel on Hulu in Japan last year. MTV MIX is also launching on “dTV-Channel” today.

Japan - Japanese mobile phone network operator NTT DOCOMO, INC. has announced the very exciting news that they will be launching their brand new OTT (over-the-top) internet streaming television service, dTV-Channel on Tuesday 30th January 2018! The new service will see the relaunch of Nickelodeon Japan on Tuesday 30th January 2018, which will be returning to Japanese TV screens for the first time in eight years, as a linear channel available via over-the-top and mobile platforms in Japan – marking the first time internationally Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) will make a Nickelodeon-branded subscription TV channel available only via streaming services!

Nickelodeon Japan will broadcast 24/7 and air a wide selection of programming from Nickelodeon's vast library of hit live-action and animated series, including titles such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora The Explorer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Other kids and anime channels that will be available on the service include Boomerang, Animax and Disney Junior. In total, the service will offer over 30 channels featuring programming for all the family. Channels include: Japanese originated channels and VOD services such as TBS On Demand; three channels from South Korea; and also Japanese versions of famous international television brands including MTV Mix, National Geographic, and History.

NTT DOCOMO, INC. will also release a set-top box in which consumers can watch all the TV services offered by NTT DOCOMO, INC., including dTV-Channel, on Tuesday 30th January 2018.

Nickelodeon USA's Unveils The Splat's Premiere Week Schedule; Launches Website

Nick & More! is reporting the very exciting news that Nickelodeon USA has released their first week's schedule for The Splat, Nickelodeon's brand-new multiscreen content destination for all things classic Nickelodeon, spanning television, social media platforms and a dedicated website aggregating the most loved Nick content from the 1990s and beyond, which will launch on Monday 5th October 2015 at 10:00pm!

The Splat's premiere week will include 27 different beloved classic Nickelodeon series ranging from the 1980's to the early 2000's.

The Splat's first week's schedule will be focused on first episodes, and each series will air in one-hour blocks. The schedule will run each night on TeenNick USA from 10:00pm to 2:00am, with a repeat of that nights schedule between 2:00am and 6:00am.

Nicktoons Ready to Launch 'Monsuno' Animation

Premiering on the Nicktoons network this week, Monsuno is the newest addition to a rather extended lineage of monster-training adventure cartoons. The new TV animation follows a group of kid heroes whose destiny to save the world is equally intertwined with the lives of fantastical creatures of enormous size and power. Monsuno is a co-production of Dentsu Entertainment (U.S.), Dentsu Tec (Japan), FremantleMedia Enterprises (UK), and JAKKS Pacific (U.S.), who recently unveiled a number of competitive role-play items at the 2012 American International Toy Fair.

According to the Nickelodeon family of networks, Nicktoons spent 2011 cultivating regular growth for its Boys 6-11 (+02%) and Boys 9-14 (+08%) demographics.

Now, right up their alley, comes the 2D animation Monsuno, an action-adventure title that involves oversized monsters, arcane mystery, and a homegrown mythology.

The series marks its debut on Nicktoons this week (February 23, 2012), in advance of its regular broadcast position on Thursdays at 8:30pm (ET).

In Monsuno, the story begins centuries in the past when the dinosaurs are wiped out by a cluster of asteroids careening through space. The asteroids, it turns out, were the temporary home to alien DNA strands of unknowable origin. As the years past, the foreign DNA lay dormant on Earth. It wasn't until a curious scientist, surname Suno, began looking into the capabilities of the alien genetic material that something remarkable happened. The story of Monsuno continues as Suno's research unwittingly awakens (and unleashes) the Monsuno DNA across the planet. The scientist's actions have unveiled creatures of tremendous power, and whereas some individuals wish the best for these amusing beasts, there are other organizations with more sinister plans afoot.

Fast-forwarding to the present time, Chase Suno, the doctor's charismatic son, has pledged to right some wrongs and uncover any remaining secrets surrounding the Monsuno.

Chase assembles a team to help use the Monsuno monsters to save the world from ne'er-do-wells, and if he's lucky, locate his missing father as well. At the boy's side are Jinja, a girl with a good education and penchant for rough adventure; Bren, Chase's brainy childhood friend; Beyal, a forward-looking monk; and Dax, "the bad boy of the group," who is most comfortable rebelling against authority.

The Monsuno, of Monsuno, are enormous hybrid creatures with assorted powers that are likely helpful in a number of actioner scenarios.

For example, Chase's Monsuno, Lock, is a cross between a bear, gorilla, and tiger, and is fiercely protective. Charger, Jinja's ally, is a mythical cross between a buffalo, armadillo, and a moose, with a heroic and confident disposition. Should Monsuno prove immensely successful, one can rest assured JAKKS Pacific will be quick to unveil newer and fresher creature toy designs as the months pass. Nicktoons is currently preparing to broadcast all fifty-episodes of Monsuno, no doubt with the aid of growth in the Kids 6-11 (+03%) range. An international rollout is scheduled for summer 2012.
