WILDBRAIN AND PARAMOUNT TEAM UP TO BRING HIT SERIES
SONIC PRIME TO NICKELODEON
First batch of episodes of the CG-animated adventure series to launch December 7
Toronto, ON – December 5, 2024 – WildBrain, a global leader in kids’ and family entertainment, has signed a partnership with Paramount to bring the hit series Sonic Prime to top kids’ entertainment channel Nickelodeon. The agreement will see 22 half-hour episodes and one hour-long special of Sonic Prime come to Nickelodeon in the US and Australia on December 7, followed by Italy* on December 23. The series will then launch in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and Ireland in 2025.

Co-produced by SEGA and WildBrain, Sonic Prime was animated at WildBrain’s Vancouver studio, with SEGA and WildBrain jointly participating across production, distribution and licensing. SEGA represents licensing for Sonic Prime in North America, LatAm and Japan, while WildBrain CPLG represents the brand in the rest of the world.
*In Italy, the series will premiere on FTA kids’ channel “Super!”

Sonic the Hedgehog is set to race back onto the big screen in his brand new movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, set to be released in theatres on December 20, and Nickelodeon is celebrating the return of our favorite blue hedgehog by airing the hit Netflix animated series, Sonic Prime, which will make it's Nickelodeon debut on Saturday, December 7 at 9:00 a.m. (ET/PT)!

In the series premiere episode, "Shattered," a collision with the Paradox Prism sends Sonic to a parallel world called New Yoke City.
Co-produced by SEGA of America, Inc. (“SEGA”) and WildBrain Ltd., the CG-animated Sonic Prime series premiered worldwide on Netflix in December 2022 and immediately captured the hearts and imaginations of fans, racing to the number one spot in kids’ content worldwide on the platform. The series ran for 23 episodes across three seasons on Netflix between December 15, 2022 – January 11, 2024.
The series was animated at WildBrain’s Vancouver studio, andand WildBrain jointly participate across production, distribution and licensing. Man of Action Entertainment, creators of Ben 10 and the characters and team in the Academy Award-winning feature Big Hero 6, were brought on as showrunners and Executive Producers for the series.
Sonic Prime features the voices of: Deven Mack, Brian Drummond, Ashleigh Ball, Adam Nurada, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ian Hanlin, Kazumi Evans, and Vincent Tong.
