Poacher Trailer: Alia Bhatt Produced Series Unearths The Murky World Of Ivory Racket, Watch
The two minute and thirty seconds long trailer unearths a notorious and bone-chilling racket involving poaching of elephants for the ivory trade.
Poacher is a fictionalised portrayal of real events, revealing the largest ivory poaching network in Indian history. Written, created, and directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Richie Mehta, the series stars Nimisha Sajayan, Roshan Mathew, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. It follows a group of Indian Forest Service officers, NGO workers, police constables, and everyday heroes who risk their lives to investigate this case.
After much anticipation, the makers have released the trailer, which is backed by Alia Bhatt and is premiering worldwide on February 23.

Home to elephants and countless other animals, the forest was always meant to be a safe haven for them, until the arrival of poachers. Intruding, encroaching, and killing mercilessly, poachers have forced many animals onto the list of endangered species.
Poacher is executive produced by QC Entertainment’s Edward H. Hamm Jr., Raymond Mansfield, and Sean McKittrick, in association with Suitable Pictures, Poor Man’s Productions, and Eternal Sunshine Productions. Alan McAlex (Suitable Boy) serves as producer for Suitable Pictures. Also from Delhi Crime are Director of Photography Johan Aidt, composer Andrew Lockington and editor Beverley Mills.
Actor, entrepreneur, and producer Alia Bhatt serves as the executive producer through her production company Eternal Sunshine Productions. In the teaser that was previously released, once tranquil forest is now engulfed in an unsettling atmosphere. Alia is visibly shocked as she stumbles upon a loaded rifle, spent bullet casings, and the outline of a lifeless body, evoking a sense of horror for anyone witnessing the scene. The discovery of this crime makes one ponder the equal value of all lives, whether human or animal. “Murder is Murder," Alia says in the teaser, driving home a very important point.
