The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 star loves sharing glimpses of his family life on social media and recently, the actor posted yet another adourable selfie with his son on his Instagram stories. In the photo, both father and son are beaming with smiles, while dressed in traditional outfits.
Although the Ishqbaaaz actor didn’t share context about when and where the lovely photo was taken, fans might be thrilled to see him enjoying precious moments with his son. Looking at the picture, the father-duo are already in the festive mood, as Nakuul was dressed in a vibrant green kurta, while Sufi looked adorable in a classic white traditional outfit. Along with the picture, the actor also added a sweet background song, Dekha Hi Nahi by Osho Jain.
In a previous interview with Hindustan Times, Nakuul Mehta opened up about his parenting style and the special lessons he shares with his son, Sufi. The actor said, “Saying things like ‘don’t cry like a girl’ is an absolute no in front of Sufi. Between my wife Jankee and me, it’s something we have consciously spoken about. But he happens to meet people in his extended family, who say it, so there is a constant battle between us two if they need to be corrected. I feel boys have this pressure to prove their masculinity and we often raise girls to cater to the fragile egos of men."
“We teach our girls to restrict themselves, have ambition but not too much, be successful, but not too much. But it’s okay to be vulnerable. I share with Sufi how my day was, so does my wife. We both want him to know that his papa and mumma both can have weak days too. I don’t stop myself from being emotional in front of him. He has his low days when he cries and gets cranky, but we don’t stop him from expressing himself," the actor added.
Nakuul Mehta married singer Jankee Parekh on January 28, 2012 and after nine years, the duo welcomed their son, Sufi Mehta, on February 3, 2021.
