Adult-onset Still disease (AOSD) is a rare systemic inflammatory disorder characterized by daily fever, inflammatory polyarthritis, and a transient salmon-pink maculopapular rash. Initially documented in children by George Still in 1896, the term "Still disease" refers to systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis, while AOSD designates the condition that manifests after age 16.
