Black Stars and Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams has delight with the “positive” result against Fenerbahçe in the Europa League on Wednesday.
The Ghanaian scored twice in the first-half to hand Bilbao win against the Turkish side in Istanbul.
The victory is Bilbao's fifth of the competition, elevating them to the summit of the table with 16 points.
"The truth is that coming to Turkey and getting this result is very positive for us,” Inaki told the club’s media.
“We are happy that thousands of fans joined and we hope that you have enjoyed today because it has been tough.
It couldn’t work out better. I think that in the end, going 2-0 up always weakens the opposing team. We knew that coming here to Turkey was going to be complicated. I think the team has played a great game in general.”
Inaki is the second joint-top scorer of the competition with four goals.
