INF Ian Cain, Sr., Avon: Kent State University commit. Cain will provide a steady presence at third base for a stout Avon defense.
OF Chris Campbell, Sr., Westlake: Led a high-powered Westlake offense with a .349 average. Campbell had 29 hits and 27 RBI as a junior.
INF Carter Duley, Jr., Columbia: .417 average as a sophomore with 24 RBI and 23 stolen bases. Poised for a big season for the Raiders.
P Rees Heigle, Sr., Rocky River: Mount St. Mary’s University commit. Threw a no-hitter last season. Allowed only 20 hits, put up a 1.63 ERA and threw 81 strikeouts.
INF John Kinter, Sr., Wellington: Lake Erie College commit. .490 average with 19 RBI, 28 runs scored and 14 stolen bases last year.
P Nicky Mealey, Sr., North Ridgeville: Put up a 0.93 ERA and 51 strikeouts in eight starts as a junior. Also hit for a .247 average with 22 RBI.
INF Josh Mommers, Sr., Rocky River: Bowling Green State University commit. Will be the go-to hitter for the Pirates in 2025. Batted a .299 average as a junior with two home runs, 10 RBI and 32 runs scored.
OF Gannon Padgett, Jr., North Ridgeville: Padgett will play a huge role for a team that has Southwestern Conference title aspirations. One of the coverage area’s most versatile players. Batted .290 with 14 runs and 15 stolen bases. Also had a 5-1 record on the mound in six starts with a 1.26 ERA.
C Jacob Schliesser, Sr., Amherst: The Comets have the pitching staff to compete for the SWC, and hitting will be a key factor in getting over the hump. Schliesser will be a go-to player on both offense and defense. He piled up 28 hits and 22 RBI with a .415 average.
P Harrison Schneider, Jr., Amherst: Schneider is poised for a breakout junior season on the mound for the Comets. He gave up only one hit in six innings in a season-opening victory over Rocky River.
P Codey Schwarck, Sr., Vermilion: The senior is off to a great start on the mound with a six-inning shutout and 12 strikeouts in the Sailors’ season-opening win over Brookside. Vermilion has a good team, and Schwarck will lead the charge.
INF Ryan Sudbrook, Sr., Avon: University of Toledo commit. Second-team All-Ohio a year ago. .418 average with 38 hits, 13 RBI and 32 runs scored. Will play a big role for the Eagles as shortstop and senior leader.
INF Ryan Younglas, So., Keystone: Younglas rose onto the scene quickly with a stellar freshman season. Batted a .340 average with 27 RBI. He also pitched 17 innings with a 0.47 ERA.
