Lorain County Community College’s Commodore Books & More will hold a vendor showcase April 15, according to organizers of the event.
The college bookstore collaborated with NEO LaunchNET to showcase over 25 local vendors for the first time in honor of National Community College Month.

Commodore Books & More houses 10 local vendors and their products.
Patricia Clark, manager of the store, said she wanted to expand on the idea by having more to offer.
“I really wanted to bring our 10 vendors into the store so people could meet them,” Clark said. “Then I thought of the idea to take it a little further and bring in vendors from all over Northeast Ohio.”
Vendors will include Mistakes on the Lake, We Bleed Ohio Apparel and Jenny’s Popcorn, she said.
Cousins Maine Lobster and FrankieB’s Food trucks also will attend the event, Clark said.
Attendees will have the opportunity to shop locally as well as network and learn about NEO LaunchNET’s entrepreneurial resources, she said.
Clark also said she wanted to highlight the role community colleges play in economic development.
“I wanted to get the word out and let people see that you can buy locally,” she said. “That’s what community colleges are all about, supporting local businesses and supporting Lorain County as a whole.”
The vendor showcase will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15 at LCCC’s College Commons Building, 1005 N. Abbe Road in Elyria.
The event is free and open to the public.
