–Did you know that The Geological Survey Department (GSD) was established in 1950. The department has made various achievements such as mapping. Currently 56.4% of the country has been mapped at a scale of 1: 100 000 and so far over 115 maps have been produced.                                         –Did you know that Mines Development Department is one of four Technical Departments under the Ministry. One of its mandate is to offer Technical Extension Services to Artisanal and Small-Scale License holders.
