Detroit Red Wings’ recent first-round picks Axel Sandin Pellikka and Michael Brandsegg-Nygard could be headed to North America after their Swedish Hockey League team was eliminated from the playoffs.
Skelleftea was ousted Saturday by Brynas in the SHL semifinals, clearing the way for Sandin Pellikka and Brandsegg-Nygard to possibly make their North American debut sometime next week, either with the Red Wings or the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins.
