ALBEE TWP, MI — A single-vehicle traffic crash in rural Saginaw County has claimed the life of a Flint woman.

About 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, Saginaw County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a rollover crash near the intersection of Fergus and Cresswell roads in Albee Township. The vehicle’s OnStar system alerted deputies to the crash.

Deputies arrived on scene and found the involved vehicle. They determined the Flint woman had been driving east on Fergus when she crossed the center line.

Her vehicle struck the guardrail on the north side of the bridge spanning Misteguay Creek, a tributary of the Flint River. The driver lost control and her vehicle, which ran off the road before rolling over.

The driver was ejected from her vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Deputies have notified the deceased woman’s husband and parents but did not disclose her name. Their investigation is ongoing.
