'I'm banned from airlines thanks to curvy body – but it comes with an added perk'

A woman has claimed that she's too curvy for certain airlines so has been banned from them, but she claims it has an unexpected benefit that levels up her travelling game

A woman has opened up about how she's 'banned' from certain airlines because she can't fit into the seats properly, but it just means she can travel in style.

"Some airlines banned me, so this is how I have to travel," Gracie Bon claimed, saying that she had to buy "two or three seats" to sit comfortably. Gracie, 27, said that she'd "started a campaign to request bigger seats, and they [airlines] didn't like it," claiming that "flying private" is her "only solution".

She then showed the treatment she receives when flying private, including the meals, as she said: "My only requirement [on a 10-hour flight] is a lot of food".

Gracie shared that her "favourite place" on a private plane is the "VIP bathroom," but even more than that, she loves to eat "healthy snacks," as she shared her fourth meal on the flight. She said she slept like a "queen" for three hours, which she wouldn't have been able to do on a normal plane.

"Being banned from airlines is the best thing that happened to me," Gracie gushed, adding: "Now I can enjoy all of these experiences". She then asked: "Is flying private the solution for big girls like me?"

In the comments, people were shocked at how much money Gracie must have to be able to fly privately. Someone fumed: "You are not banned. They just told you if you wanted two seats, you had to pay for the second seat".

Another replied: "Surely two seats have to be cheaper than a private plane...is she for real?! Must be making big $$$s with that".

Others defended her, but someone explained: "Yes that was their requirement. They didn't ban her, though. They just gave her an ultimatum. You can pay for seats, but you can't get additional ones for free. If she doesn't want to fly those planes, then that's her choice".

An Instagram user seethed: "Sooooo instead of paying for two seats on a commercial plane. You rather spend more money on a private jet. Make it make sense".

It's not the only place Gracie has alleged she needs more than one seat either, as when she went to Disneyland, some rides she needed two. She was also taken aback at how many people stared at her when she was at the theme park, simply trying to enjoy herself.

She fumed: "People were shocked to see my body, like hello, this is America. Almost 40 per cent of people here are plus size, so why were they acting like I was some rare creature?

"What do people expect me to do? Shrink myself so I can go to an amusement park? I can’t just wake up one day and be skinny. It’s 2025, and people need to realise that not everybody looks the same, and that’s okay."

Gracie joked: "I needed two seats on the slinky dog ride, but that just means double the fun".
