It was an honor to celebrate the diverse local businesses powering the latest dining and retail offerings at the new Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport along with our partners, Los Angeles World Airports and Delta Air Lines. Today’s milestone reflects LAWA and URW’s commitment to diverse, inclusive airport concessions and raises the bar on local, minority-, and female-owned business participation at LAX by including 22 minority business owners who are working together to deliver the best guest experience for Delta’s customers. “Together, we're creating an industry-leading guest experience and lowering the barriers to entry for small, local, and disadvantaged businesses,” said Dominic Lowe, U.S. Chief Operating Officer, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. “Our partnership with Los Angeles World Airports and our concessions partners is creating economic opportunities for our communities, and we look forward to continuing to collaborate and innovate for an even more inclusive and world-class LAX concessions program.” Thanks to all of our many concessions partners — we're only just getting started! Bringing the first of two Google Pixel automated vending machines to Terminal 5 at Chicago O’Hare International Airport is a team effort. O’Hare is the first airport anywhere to offer these one-of-a-kind interactive kiosks with an array of merchandise including phones, pads, accessories, plus a wireless charging station. But we have one of our airport concessionaires to thank for making sure these machines are up and running. Allen Forrest, CEO of The Forrest Group, and his team are charged with replenishment, on-site troubleshooting, and cleaning of the kiosks. Forrest took a different path than many in the airport, but his multifaceted approach has paid off and we are proud to partner with him. Read more about Forrest’s journey. https://lnkd.in/dMikhsR7

Art in action! Passengers and employees at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 8 recently had a chance to experience local Queens artist Jedidah Dore painting his mural, Wondrous Queens, on one of the terminal construction barricades. This new artwork joins the seasonal artist showcase, “A Traveling Dream,” which debuted earlier this spring. The artwork promotes the vibrant local arts community and showcases art that is creating a sense of place unique to the airport’s home borough. Dore is an artist and part-time faculty member at Parsons New School in NYC. A resident of Queens, NY, he specializes in reportage art, mural painting, and drawing.

Our local artist showcase at John F. Kennedy International Airport has grown with the latest addition, “A Traveling Dream: Reverie.” Three local artists, Damali Abrams, Kate Fauvell, and Lisa D. Wade, created the artwork featured in the recent exhibition. Their art, framed as relics of an artist's scrapbook, portraying the textures and craftsmanship of inspiration, adorn the terminal barricades. The delicate collages depict places and timestamps of ideas, vibrantly filled with the colors of nostalgia and dreams. Each painting captures a snapshot of time, aiming to inspire travelers to add these images to their scrapbook of memories. Thank you to our artists and Vaughn Bentley Creative for bringing another chapter of inspirational art to the airport. https://lnkd.in/gygfwHra
