This was my first year attending the Ellevate Foundation's Women's Leadership Summit, and I had a similar experience at this event as I did in my first hot power yoga class. 🧘♀️😅
I attended my first yoga class on a whim because I was not enjoying what I had deemed "slow, boring yoga." In the power yoga class, I flailed around on my mat, trying to keep up. Afterward, I told the studio owner, "I'm not entirely sure what just happened, but I need to be here!"
I have never attended an all-women's event, and being perfectly honest, I wasn't sure how I was going connect with it. Jill Pedersen, REBC reached out, asking me to speak, and I will do anything for Jill, so I was all in. 🤗
The energy, support, vulnerability, honesty, caring, and loving that was continuously expressed was beyond inspiring. 🤩😍💖 There's no way you can show up at this event, and not feel 100% supported in whatever stage you're in or what you're working to achieve.
I think this needs to be an industry must-attend and must-support event for the women in your businesses. You will likely see more coming out of their attendance than you may anticipate. Making connections and building bonds is invaluable from a culture, motivational, and emotional perspective. If you want to keep your people and build them, find ways for them to create these type of bonds. 🫶 💝
