It's been a while since I posted here as I've been immersed in my new role as Programme Manager for the flagship India cohort of the Next Generation Fellows initiative. The initiative is a collaboration between the United Nations Foundation‘s Our Future Agenda team and the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW). Four months of being in the familiar space of youth engagement and continuing to learn how to shape it meaningfully. No transition is easy without supportive managers and leaders, and in that I have to express my gratitude to Reman and Harshani for being patient and kind as I navigated my new role! Here's to the next two years with an ambitious cohort, and a global team that will stop at nothing to ensure that young voices are at the forefront of every critical conversation shaping our collective future, and that we are shaping an international system that is designed to think, plan and act for next and future generations. A few weeks ago, I gave my first TEDxTalk, "Investing in Justice: A Shared Responsibility for a Fairer Society," thanks to TEDxOAU Official. In my talk, I shared that investing in justice is not just the responsibility of governments, funders, or NGOs; everyone has a role to play in ensuring a fair and equitable society. Imagine a world where justice is a right for all, and everyone can access what they need to succeed. This dream can become a reality if we work together to create it. It all starts with caring enough to ensure no one is left behind. Together, we can and must promote access to justice, as it is only by doing so that we can truly uplift humanity.
