📄 Remote Work Feature ⚡ Remote Work & Happiness

📊 Office workers: how would you rate your work-life balance?

If you didn’t give it a zero, you’ve been deceived.

Truth bomb: Work-life balance doesn’t exist at the office.

And remote work isn’t just a perk or a nice-to-have. It’s the only way you find yourself with enough time, energy and focus to start on the journey of work-life balance.

If you’re going to be happy at work (and in life) it’s a must-have.

Recent findings have shown that remote workers are significantly happier than their office-trapped counterparts.

Imagine what your life could be like with that extra dose of happiness.

🔥 Read it now 🔥

The office can feel like a soul-sucking vortex of misery.

Especially if you’ve been dragged back post-pandemic, forfeiting the happiness you once had. That’s why there’s a global rebellion against return-to-office mandates.

📢 And you should join the fight - there’s too much at stake.

This week’s feature uncovers the deceit of biased media and delivers hard-hitting truths about your stifling office job.

Let's confront the reality of letting the office win.

Remember – if happiness is the goal, remote work is the goalpost!

  • Why employees are pushing back against forced returns to the office
  • How dissatisfaction - not sadness - is the true enemy of happiness
  • How the office stifles happiness rather than fosters it
  • Why work-life balance is a remote work exclusive
  • How loneliness and isolation might actually save your life

The office is a work-life thief, stealing your joy, autonomy, and balance with its superficial perks and rigid structure.

Ready to remind yourself why the office life isn’t for you?

This Week's Question is From Gideon Busayo Adeogo, From Nigeria:

"I'm aware that in the future, remote jobs will be inevitable. How do I learn more and connect with the right employers? Also, my country Nigeria has less opportunities in remote jobs and training, can you help us with a platform to train people for this future? I need a guide."

"Hi Gideon,

I was fortunate enough to visit your country recently and it's so disappointing to me that a lot companies don't accept applicants from Nigeria - they are overlooking some of the most talented and hardworking people in the world.

Thankfully, there are a few companies that do recruit remote workers from Nigeria, and I'm proud that Crossover is one of them.

That said, you are wise to be asking about training and upskilling. Remote jobs are highly competitive because you are competing against candidates from all over the world.

To get hired, you must be at the very top of your field.

If you already are, the #1 skill that will help you beat other subject matter experts is generative AI. Google offers some great courses free of charge which are a good place to start.

Good luck!"
