National Preparedness Month, National Veterans Small Business Week and more!

Recent hurricanes, wildfires, and other disasters underscore the importance of preparedness. National Preparedness Month is a good reminder to make sure you are ready when a disaster strikes. Use SBA’s new Business Resilience Guide to help you prepare in the event of a disaster.

Save the date! National Veterans Small Business Week is November 11-15. The week will feature free events across the country for veterans, service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses. Covered business topics include access to capital, government contracting, local resources and more.

For over 60 years, National Small Business Week has recognized the outstanding achievements of America’s small businesses for their contributions to their local communities, and to our nation’s economy. SBA recently announced upcoming public meetings for the Interagency Task Force on Veterans Small Business Development and the Advisory Committee on Veterans Business Affairs which will be held on September 10 and 12. Join the virtual meetings to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing veteran-owned small businesses.
