Miles to Go: Sense, think, act—and listen

I’m excited about today’s Miles to Go podcast episode, where John Sviokla and I continue our discussion about the future of knowledge work. Our discussion focuses on three innately human behaviors that are increasingly becoming the domain of machines: sensing, thinking and acting.

In particular, we chat about the mashup between knowledge that is resident in humans vs. knowledge that is created with the use of technology. When done effectively on a large scale, the result can be a “Bionic Company.” As John says, everything is getting “informationalized.” We have a more and more digital description of reality happening all the time, and we’re “tagged” to it. Achieving superior cognitive capabilities in the future will require a balancing of man and machine, digitization vs. knowledge base—and determining whether a task is computable.

I hope you enjoy listening to our conversation, and I welcome your feedback here in the comments. Don’t forget to subscribe to the Miles to Go podcast in iTunes. Enjoy your weekend!
