Thrilled to be announcing positive real-world data on Luminopia showing that the product is having a significant clinical benefit in a broad population of patients with amblyopia (lazy eye). Beyond top-line vision improvement, we also find that the real-world outcomes and adherence in demographically matched patients are in line with those from our clinical trials. Real-world data are an important complement to RCT data as they capture outcomes within the context of everyday medical care. To evaluate real-world outcomes with Luminopia, we are sponsoring the PUPiL Registry and will continue to gather data and publish results as the number of patients on treatment grows. Special thanks to Dr. Derek Sprunger for presenting our data at the ESA-ISA 2024 annual meeting and to Shelley Hancock and Endri Angjeli for spearheading registry operations.
Derek Sprunger, MD, FAAO, Professor, Indiana University School of Medicine, presented real-world data from the PUPiL Registry at the European and International Strabismological Association conference this past weekend. The PUPiL Registry collects real world data from patients prescribed Luminopia. In this analysis, Registry patients with similar characteristics as patients enrolled in the phase 3 clinical trial saw a 1.7-line improvement in BCVA and maintained a median adherence of 83%. No safety events were reported among registry participants. These promising results continue to support Luminopia as an engaging and effective treatment option for children with amblyopia. Luminopia is committed to being a science-first company and will continue to support the PUPiL Registry to collect and analyze real-world patient data.
