I woke up today with a budding cold and a bad attitude. I knew I was going to begin the morning with a hard conversation and I was feeling gloomy about it. But I grabbed a nice big coffee, reminded myself to keep my sense of humor and jumped into agency life head first. Thankfully, the day went much differently than I’d anticipated. That hard conversation turned out to be enlightening, and it led to another that was simply inspiring. As the day ended, I found myself reflecting on what today had taught me. This is it: If you genuinely respect, trust, value and champion the people around you, they will return the favor. It takes talent and passion to build in our business, but it takes teamwork to build something great. No one can take all of the credit, but everyone can give it. Think about that. I have had the privledge of building successful programs, portfolios and practices on this agency journey and every single time, the strength of a deeply bonded team has gotten the job done. And what forms the bond? Mutual respect, trust, value and advocacy. Nothing less.

Our entire legislative system, Federal and State, is corrupt at many levels and needs a major course correction. Citizens can no longer assume democracy is of the People, by the People, for the People. An oath of office to serve the American people has no meaning, or purpose for many when they take their oath of office. We need a transparent framework that holds our elected officials accountable & responsible with immediate meaningful consequences. A playing field where no one is above the law instead of our current circumstances where graft is the norm and those in power see politics as a means of self-serving privilege and wealth accumulation. On January 1, 2025, this corruption is going to scale again this time in the housing predatory foreclosure experience that is going to destroy the lives of people who availed themselves of the CARES Act forbearance and will now lose their homes. These Homeowners are going to lose their homes for reasons that they did not create, through cancerous mortgage fraud that has been going on in the US since 2007. Millions of Americans have lost their homes and have their lives destroyed illegally through fraud. This problem will be the #1 issue for the new President in 2025. The enablers have similar histories that can be found in the depths of this case. Ending Regulatory capture has to be part of the solution.

**Good things happen to good people** 🌟 In both our personal and professional lives, we often hear the saying, "Good things happen to good people." But what does this really mean? From my experience, I've found that this adage holds true in several meaningful ways: 1. **Karma and Kindness**: When we treat others with kindness, respect, and fairness, it sets a positive cycle in motion. People remember our actions and are more likely to support us in return. This creates a network of goodwill that often brings unexpected opportunities our way. 2. **Trust and Integrity**: Being a good person means acting with integrity. This builds trust with colleagues, clients, and partners. Trust is the foundation of all strong relationships, and strong relationships are the key to both personal satisfaction and professional success. 3. **Positive Mindset**: Good people often maintain a positive mindset. They look for solutions rather than dwelling on problems. This attracts positive outcomes and enables them to navigate challenges more effectively. 4. **Community and Support**: By contributing positively to our communities, we build a support system that stands by us during tough times. The good we put out into the world comes back to us in the form of support, advice, and opportunities. Let's strive to be the kind of people who lift others up, act with integrity, and maintain a positive outlook. Remember, the goodness we spread today plants the seeds for the good things that will come our way tomorrow. #GoodPeople #Positivity #Karma #post

Grit, gumption and guts. Hold on tight to your vision of you. I had the opportunity to see June Squibb interviewed on last week’s CBS News 'Sunday Morning.' Coincidentally, I had already purchased tickets for the afternoon showing of her just-released film ‘Thelma.’ (It’s fantastic – a must see!) At 94, she is picking her roles, doing her own stunts and, on screen, is exactly the same person as the interviewee I had witnessed hours earlier. She is the embodiment of the grit, gumption and guts we see in her character and, yet, is lovable every single minute of it. Your pitch might be annoying... I've trashed so many New Year's resolution-related pitches over the past week. The pitches are monotonous. It happens around the holidays, theme months, etc. And drives journalists crazy. That being said - one New Year's resolution-related pitch I didn't hate: National Quitter's Day. I Googled it and "the second Friday in January is known as Quitters Day as it is the most likely day for people to give up on their New Year's resolutions." Who can't relate to that? Check out the pitch. I like how the publicist is: - subtly pitching this person's book - snuck in their latest media appearance - added more information about the interviewee AFTER the signature

To those of you struggling during a time of hardship, applying to endless jobs and hearing nothing back, to be offered jobs that don’t pay what you need or match the work you put in/your experience, or anything at all that’s convincing you that you aren’t “good enough” or “worthy” to find something that can make you happy… please hear these words:
