Today marks a bittersweet milestone in my professional journey at Wipro - a moment that's both poignant and reflective. After an incredible 22 years, navigating diverse roles across three continents and traversing over a dozen countries, I am bidding a fond farewell.
As I reflect on this transformative journey, Wipro was more than just a company to me. It's where I evolved into the professional I am today, fostering leadership, mentorship, and, above all, a people spirit. My gratitude knows no bounds for the opportunities and above all customers, colleagues, and partners who played pivotal roles in my growth. A special acknowledgment to the unwavering support of my dedicated team, which made me a true people leader and whose collaboration propelled us toward shared organisational objectives.
As I look back, some lessons shine bright - the significance of integrity and ethical leadership. This principle was instilled early enough through interactions with Premji (AHP, as he is fondly known to us) during AHM sessions, town halls, and location meetings. AHP consistently exemplified the essence of integrity and provided practical ways for self-assessment. Yet another profound lesson I've learned here is the timeless principle of "pay it back or pay it forward", – fueled by a sincere aspiration to create a positive and interconnected cycle of goodwill and contribute to the betterment of each other. These invaluable lessons have become an indelible part of my professional philosophy, and I carry the association with Wipro with pride. I'll take them with me wherever I go.
It has been an incredible ride, but it is time to embark on an exciting new chapter! Twenty-two years is an era in time - there is a mix of emotions - nostalgia, anxiety, and a little sadness, but also excitement, pride at the heights attained, anticipation, and immense gratitude. Like they say, "And suddenly you just know it's time to start something new and trust the magic of new beginnings."
Here's to happy new beginnings and the cherished memories that will endure!
