My inbox is often filled with questions of "How do I get started doing my own thing?" Here are a few thoughts that come to mind this morning: Build a brand- People can't hire you if they don't know who you are or what you specialize in. This is the groundwork and has to be done first. Don't worry about what anyone else is doing, they aren't you, so it's not being "already done by someone else". Have a portfolio- Have a list of projects you've worked on, the tools and products used, problems solved, and your role and responsibilities on the job. Community engagement- Being active in the community will help build your network, skillset, and credibility. Dear Linkedin ...please stop allowing people to ask for 'Volunteers' if the text carries the word Volunteer it should be very easy to screen it out i notice an increase in these posts aimed at creative professional groups.I advise all recent graduates to avoid anyone asking you to work for free ...you canbe assured that those same people asking you to ' volunteer' your skills for free are also getting paid and in some cases may even be getting paid for the work you provide them . Stop do not do it no matter what they promise. I and others will keep posting this warning in linkedin till the owners wake up to the fact and do something about it. This after all is meant to be a professional network ...if people want work done for free then let them have a dedicated space for that not a professional space.

The platform you choose should align with the nature and preferences of your target audience. For Web3 communities, Telegram, Discord, and Twitter are particularly popular due to their interactive features and real-time communication capabilities. Each platform has its unique advantages, so selecting the right one can significantly impact your community's growth and engagement. 2-𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Successful communities thrive on strong communication. This involves two main components: people and content. Content is crucial for educating and informing your community. A well-balanced mix of high-quality content (videos, audios, images, articles) and filler content keeps the community engaged and informed. It requires consistent effort, patience, and dedication. Cultivating a 'cult-like' community where members are deeply connected and loyal cannot be achieved overnight. It involves continuous engagement, regular updates, and sustained value delivery over time. 5-𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭: Trust is the cornerstone of any successful community. As a community builder, your primary responsibility is to earn and maintain the trust of your members. This can be achieved by consistently providing value and identifying problems to provide solutions at every step of your community's journey. Offer sound advice, create a safe and supportive environment, help members grow, and address their concerns transparently. Remember, you are not just the leader but also a member of the community. A thriving community operates on mutual trust and respect, driven by the collective efforts of its members.
