Almost 90% of the Startups from YC W24 Batch are using Generative AI as a key technology behind their product use case. Some of the use-cases that these companies are solving for, includes optimising web performance, AI voice agents, AI Copilots etc. This tells us, how these challenger companies are leveraging Generative AI to disrupt the legacy tech companies and existing tech solutions. Also, as per the latest report, ChatGPT has over 180 million monthly users and this number will only rise as we move forward. At Open Financial Technologies, we have a very interesting Hackathon planned in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) on leveraging AWS Bedrock, the Generative AI foundation models across Fintech Use-cases. I'm excited to share the success of the recent Cloud Native Community Group Melbourne event! 🎉 K8SUG - the Most Active K8s + AI Meetup We had an impressive turnout with over 50 individuals passionate about AI, ML, and Kubernetes technologies. Your participation made this event highly impactful. Frank Fan from AWS delivered an insightful presentation on "Host the Whisper Model on Amazon EKS and Ray Serve." The live demo, showcasing multiple languages with low latency, provided valuable practical insights. I had the opportunity to present "MLOps on Kubernetes: An Introduction to Kubeflow." It was a privilege to share my learnings about this CNCF incubating project and its transformative impact on MLOps. The enthusiasm and engagement from our community were truly inspiring. I had the amazing opportunity this past weekend to do a virtual Reinvent 2023 Recap to the AWS User Group Pwani, Kenya alongside Kevin Tuei. I would like to thank Jacob M. (AWS UG Pwani Organizer) for the opportunity to take part in the re:Cap. At the AWS User Groups Pwani Reinvent Re:Cap 2023, my presentation delved into the transformative landscape of GenAI. We explored the opportunities and challenges, unveiling and diving deep into AWS's GenAI stack. The spotlight was on Amazon Q, emphasizing its developer-centric abilities. Further, I highlighted the evolution of Amazon CodeWhisperer and the robust additions to Amazon Bedrock, including Titan Foundation Models and customization options. New features in AWS Step Functions, Sagemaker Studio Code Editor, Unified Billing, and myApplications in the AWS Management Console were showcased, alongside updates to Amazon S3 Express One Zone, EFS, Backup, and Aurora Limitless Database.
