Despite the fact that around 50% of the world's tropical coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass meadows, and kelp forests have disappeared or declined since the 1980s, other 50% are still resisting to exist. There is hope because protecting these species and systems works. Recovery is possible for them and thousands of other species. Protection works, and it will bring hope for the future.
