Take a look at this tech-viz we created a bit ago. The blue lines mark the LED Volume, and where they intersect with the Unreal Engine environment shows the divide between the physical and virtual sets—indicated in yellow. A heat map helps us prioritize asset development where it's most crucial, the further things are from the hero area, the easier they're generally to create. What's fascinating is how closely these early visualizations match the final product. This is largely thanks to the production designer and DP, who set the visual tone early in Unreal Engine. Subsequent teams like VFX and Construction then are able to use this as a guide. Have a good day. #TechViz #Filmmaking #AssetDevelopment #UnrealEngine #productiondesign #directorofphotography #themandalorian

I've developed a shader-based 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 system within 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 that empowers me to manage rendering directly from the shader itself. This system utilizes RayMarching techniques and 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 (SDF) to render a multitude of shapes and handle various intersections. What's truly interesting is that I've managed to completely ignore Unity's render pipeline and instead integrate a rendering system from a single shader. 🔮 I've seamlessly integrated it into Unity, allowing me to tweak object shapes, intersection types, and object positions straight from Unity's editor. 🎮 This innovative fusion of Unity and my RayMarching rendering system has unlocked endless possibilities for creative experimentation. I'm thrilled to share this journey with you all, and I can't wait to see where it takes us next! 🌌💡 #RayMarching #Unity #Shader #GameDevelopment #Innovation #CreativeTech

I have created a digital asset, developed in Houdini, which can be imported into gaming Engines such as Unreal and Unity. HDAs encapsulate a complex network of nodes into a single, reusable asset, enabling artists and technical directors to create custom tools and workflows. HDAs are often hosted and sold on websites such as GitHub. HDAs can be saved as a single file, which means that they can be easily shared with other users across different projects, this allows for higher productivity and collaboration in the production process. HDAs can be downloaded as fully functional networks, which saves time in the development process, and can easily be customized by configuring a variety of parameters and controls, this means that the same HDA can be used in several ways, and variations of the HDA can also be used for different projects, which saves time and money. I developed this HDA using procedural modelling, which enables you to create assets with a non-destructive workflow, allowing you to perform topological edits to a mesh, which can be modified, rigged, and even animated. I was inspired by the new Elizabeth Line stations on the London Underground, in particular Canary Wharf. #Canarywharf #underground #london #elizabethline #proceduralmodelling #unrealengine #houdini #hda #textures

Hi! 🏡 I wanted to show this preview of my new project "Modular Stylized House" (not the most creative name ever, I know 😂) Right now I'm in the final stages prior to the first renders (“beautifying” everything using post processing and basic point lights in Unreal Engine 5) This modular house is based on the following concept art by Vadim Zaitsev, try to capture every detail of the scene: #UnrealEngine #EnvironmentArtist [Student at Image Campus]

🚀 Exciting News in Shader Development! 🚀 Hey LinkedIn fam! 👋 I hope this post finds you all well! 🌟 This week, I'm diving deep into the world of URP HLSL Unity shaders to enhance the water aesthetics in my upcoming game. 🎮 But guess what? As a part of our weekly training, we've decided to spice things up by creating an outline shader for object selection and player hovering! 🎨✨ 🌊 Water Shader Exploration: I'm currently knee-deep in the Unity rendering pipeline, exploring the intricacies of URP HLSL shaders to create a stunning water experience. The goal is to make the in-game water not just visually appealing but also to ensure it reacts dynamically to the game environment. 💡 Outline Shader for Object Interaction: As part of our ongoing training, we're crafting an outline shader that adds a visual pop to selected objects and hovers over items. This will not only improve user interaction but also elevate the overall gaming experience. 🕹️💫 👀 Project Peek: Curious to see how these shaders come to life? I invite you all to check out our project development! 🚧✨ Your feedback and insights are incredibly valuable as we strive to push the boundaries of visual aesthetics in gaming. 🚨 Stay Tuned for Updates: I'll be sharing snippets of code, progress screenshots, and maybe even a few challenges encountered along the way. Let's learn and grow together! 📈🤝 Feel free to drop your thoughts, suggestions, or any shader-related wisdom in the comments below. Let's make this journey a collaborative and enriching one! 🚀💬 #Unity #ShaderDevelopment #GameDev #URP #HLSL #WaterShader #OutlineShader #GameDevelopment #Unity3D #Programming #TechInnovation
