Entertainment Lawyer - Serving Production Companies, Artists, Actors, and Influencers 🎥 🎞 📺 (No Unsolicited Material)
Most law students I meet with are unwilling to start as an assistant to build the skills they need to do entertainment business and legal affairs at a high level. Don't be that student. Shadowing a senior business affairs executive as an assistant for 1 year will teach the the verbal lexicon and speed that you need to do this job right... I know A LOT of smart attorneys who want to practice entertainment law. What separates those who go far are those who learn both skill and speed, which you can only learn in the trenches. #starting #jobs #entertainmentlawyer
Lindsay French and I are hiring a new assistant to support the both of us. If you know anyone who would be a good fit and is eager to work hard and join a great team- please let us know! https://lnkd.in/gpm984bQ

I’ve hired a lot of directors. And I took notes. Here are 5 things to look for in a commercial director so you get dope content that doesn’t feel…commercial. 1. Enthusiasm. Do you think this director is genuinely excited about your product and telling its story? The answer should always be yes. 2. In-depth treatments. If someone takes shortcuts on a treatment, they’ll do the same thing on set. Look for a fully fleshed out treatment. 3. Openness. Is this director always working with the same crew for every shoot? Then they might be too comfortable with their own routine and not what is best for the project. Look for someone who’s open to new crew and ideas. 4. A clear perspective…with room for flexibility. At SixTwentySix, we work with directors with a crystal clear perspective and the confidence to execute it. BUT being flexible to accommodate change is essential. Otherwise, everyone’s unhappy. 5. Someone you actually *like.* At the end of the day, if you don’t get along with the person on a Zoom call, chances are pretty low you’re going to be a match made in heaven when the budget – and client expectations – are on the line. What’s been a stand-out quality in the directors your brand has worked with? Tell me what my list is missing.

Here are a few more reasons to hire a former journalist: *We can quickly assimilate information and repackage it in a compelling way for a wide-ranging audience. *We collaborate well and work independently with minimal supervision. *We know how to talk to people and build trusting relationships. I'll add another layer to this clip by Hannah Davis that I've experienced: a bystander, such as a camera operator, PR person, or spectator, trying to get your attention as well.
Marketing Innovator | Award-Winning On Camera Host | Special Correspondent for Dr. Phil’s new network Merit Street | Interviewing Top Brands, Leaders & Stars | Unleashing the Power of Storytelling to Elevate Businesses
Companies, Why you should hire former journalists. (Disclaimer I’m fully employed with my dream marketing client and national TV work. But there are countless local journos who are currently underpaid and looking for that next challenge.) Here’s what they can bring to your organization. They understand urgency & deadlines They know how to cut through the noise They can create incredible video content for your company They know how to MULTI-TASK Case in point, this morning. I was working with a client in Nashville for a national media spot. This video shows me finishing makeup, talking to producers, and planning our shoot all at once. If you’re hiring… look at local newsrooms. There are some brilliant hard working people who can take your company or mission to the next level.

We are on a historic run at Arcbound. That means world class clients need world class talent. We are looking for an all star account strategist. Who this is for: •Someone who wants to make change-makers dreams come to fruition •Someone who has a strategic mind and can meet clients intellectually while being able to roll up their sleeves and put their hands in the dirt •Someone who is relentless and continuously goes the extra mile •Someone who has the ability to “manage an orchestra”. They need to see the play before it’s developed and bring together the team behind the scenes to make it happen •Someone who is consistently reliable and takes deep ownership of their work •Someone who loves a fast pace environment. Sure we are an agency in the business model of today, but we are managing 40+ businesses of 1 and that requires deep discipline and organization. •Someone who is 3 steps ahead of the client, proactive, and has great energy Who this is not for: •Someone who wants a cushy 9-5 and expects top performing Type A people to not be on top of the partnership — We have been transforming our culture the past year at Arcbound. We have ways to go, but I’m learning it’s all about WHO you let in the door and not compromising. If you know someone industrious and special who should join us, tag them in the comments. Or if you are epic yourself, and want to be part of our vision, comment yourself and DM me. #hiringhungrypeople

It takes a lot of human capital to make a video. It's a creative endeavor built on a people-first industry, from your producers to your on-set crew to the edit team in post. And that magic of creative collaboration is probably our favorite part about what we do. But if you're not living and breathing production every day like we do, you might wonder what some of the more specialized roles do on a set. Global Marketing Manager Sanica Apte breaks down all the roles in a production. Check it out: https://bit.ly/3SkmbkE

Video campaigns that crush your marketing & sales goals. Ready to emotionally engage your audience? Let’s connect!
We recently had a client who wanted an employee to represent their company on camera, but their employees were terrified of being in the spotlight. 🤐 So how do you turn an introvert into a superstar? Here are three strategies we find really effective. 1: Use a teleprompter so there's no need to memorize the script 2: Tactfully interview the subject to organically lead them down your story points 3: Bring in a professional spokesperson to handle the hosting duties For all strategies, it's essential to make sure everyone is comfortable on set and understands the vision. An experienced director's job starts way before the day of production. With the right team, you can guide almost anyone into a confident presenter. For everything else, there's handsome spokesmodels. #videoproductiontips #digitalmarketing Edge of Cinema

A simple yet powerful example showing why identifying and engaging with those likely to be impacted by your actions is how you achieve mutual success, which is the key to professional public relations. Posting to social channels is not engagement. Financial impacts on businesses and employees could have been mitigated with a proactive strategy. https://lnkd.in/eU4u9Zxy #publicrelations #stakeholderengagement

Ever have some news you can’t wait to share? It’s a full circle moment! Regan Zeebuyth has joined Syndio as our Vice President of Communications (if you read my Mother’s Day post, Regan is the one who hired me at Starbucks, after I took time off to raise my kids). Regan is an expert at internal and external communications, having worked with some of the world’s best brands like T-Mobile, Starbucks, and most recently Amazon where he led building out the entire internal communications practice. Companies are in a new age of transparency and must craft strategies for how they communicate internally and externally. The EU Directive on Pay Transparency–which has elements that U.S. states are increasingly adopting–requires disclosure of career progression (why’d that person get promoted?), right to information (does that guy make more than me?), and unadjusted gaps (how is your company retaining, promoting and hiring people?). It’s a communication minefield. At Syndio, we bring on the best talent to help our customers anticipate & navigate the next phase of complexity. If you are worried about how your company will approach communications in the era of transparency, we have the technology and the expertise to help. Welcome Regan, so happy to have you on the team!
