Now a multidisciplinary team at #ILLINOIS is leveraging engineering expertise to develop CAPSLocks—a product that’s more compact, lightweight and affordable than other products on the market—to prevent this traumatic side effect. “We hope our device can eventually make hair loss prevention a reality for every patient undergoing chemotherapy, not just the select few that are lucky enough to afford it now,” CI MED physician innovator Mahima Goel said of her team's prize-winning innovation.
