My article on Reinventing basic education in the News. Reinventing basic education is the need of the hour for Pakistan. At present, there are a staggering 20 million children out of school, representing 40 per cent of the school-going age group. Also, there are nearly 20 million children who attend public-sector schools or low-quality private schools, where learning outcomes are far from satisfactory. The literacy rate in Pakistan remains stagnant at 58 per cent, compared to 78 per cent in India and 75 per cent in Bangladesh. Despite the insertion of Article 25A through the 18th Amendment, which made it a constitutional obligation of the state to provide compulsory free education to all citizens aged five to 15, Pakistan continues to lag behind. It's time to accept that business-as-usual has not worked for over seven decades and a new approach is required. For Pakistan to progress and compete in the new world, it must substantially improve its learning outcomes in basic education. The article proposes an unusual strategy for consideration of new governments that are about to be formed post-February 8 elections. By embracing bold reforms and prioritizing learning outcomes, Pakistan can chart a path towards achieving universal education and enhancing the quality of its human resources. Improving basic education is pivotal for Pakistan's progress in the 21st century. Let's prioritize this important issue and work towards sustainable development and growth. 🌟 Addressing Education Inequity in Pakistan: A Call to Action 🌟 As a parent and an advocate for accessible education, I am deeply concerned about the systemic challenges facing our education system in Pakistan. Despite being a fundamental human right, access to quality education remains elusive for many due to various socio-economic barriers. It's disheartening to witness how families across Pakistan are forced to bear the burden of exorbitant fees imposed by privatized education systems. We find ourselves in a predicament where ensuring our children's access to education often means paying astronomical amounts, leaving many families financially strained. What exacerbates this situation is the lack of governance and oversight to regulate fee structures. Privatized educational institutions seem to operate with impunity, manipulating fee structures under the guise of inflation, thereby exploiting parents' aspirations for their children's education. It's high time we address these pressing issues head-on. We need concerted efforts from policymakers, educators, parents, and civil society to advocate for: - Transparent and equitable fee structures in educational institutions, with stringent oversight to prevent exploitation. - Robust regulatory frameworks to ensure accountability and fairness in the education sector. Let's come together to demand a brighter future for our children, where access to education is not a privilege but a universal right. This alarming trend not only destroys the natural habitats of countless species but also contributes to climate change, soil erosion, and the disruption of vital water cycles. It's time we take action to protect and restore our precious forests and oceans and finally Earth before it's too late. NATO or other Organizations are also responsible for protecting our forests and oceans and all humanity with peace . They should respect to all thoughts without considering racism and finally developing to keep our planet Earth . We have no other place to live as alternative except Earth . Let’s young leaders control future of our planet. NATO and other Organizations related are responsible to bring peace not to manufacturing war guns and tools . We are all in one ship . Kenya’s education sector is riddled with inequalities. Furthermore, marginalized communities have limited access to education, leading to increased inequality and perpetuating the cycle of poverty. Marginalized communities, including those in rural areas and informal settlements, face additional barriers, including lack of infrastructure, limited resources, and inadequate teacher deployment. Also, Kenya’s national examination results, such as the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), consistently reveal huge variations in performance across schools and regions where public schools in rural areas are mostly affected by poor performance. Education is the single-most important investment any country can make. But the global crisis in education has shown little sign of abating. 84 million children are likely to remain out of school by 2030. 70% of children in sub-Saharan Africa are unable to read a basic text by age 10. Something has to change. Ahead of September’s Summit of the Future, António Guterres has put forward a plan to end the global education crisis by: ➡ Closing the financing gap. ➡ Closing the access gap. ➡ Supporting teachers. ➡ Rethinking education systems. Every child and young person deserves an education. No matter where they live. No matter who they are.

Just for academic exercise... Ethiopia's rising food costs strain higher education financing. To address this, consider a shift from broad scholarships to targeted support. Only the top students would receive full scholarships, while others could access a loan system. This necessitates a new credit institution dedicated to financing higher education for future graduates. This approach ensures quality education remains accessible while managing government resources during economic strain. what do you think fellas?
