Students' socio-emotional skills are significant predictors of academic achievement. “The price of inaction” Report study reveals the private, fiscal, and social costs of children leaving school early and lacking basic skills. Sub-Saharan Africa faces the highest costs, but also has the most to gain from improving education. Investing in socio-emotional skills can help reduce early school leaving and boost GDP.
