Chairman @ Korean American Chamber of Commerce USA | Operations Board Governance
1moThe Korean American Chamber of Commerce USA strongly supports the U.S. Chamber’s “Calling on Congress” series, particularly on the following subject (https://www.uschamber.com/workforce/calling-on-congress-grow-and-modernize-our-workforce): “We are calling on Congress to enact bipartisan legislation to secure the border, double the cap on employment-based immigrant visas, increase the quotas on H-1B and H-2B visas, and implement other critical reforms to these vital programs. The “Calling on Congress” series is highlighting priorities that can and must be addressed in the 118th Congress. One urgent priority is easing the worker shortage crisis and ensuring we have a competitive workforce for the future. Right now, there are too many open jobs without people to fill them. We have double the number of open jobs in the U.S. than unemployed workers." Accordingly, we urge the U.S. Congress to pass the Partner with Korea Act (H.R. 2827/S.1301), which would contribute significantly to easing the workforce shortage that many U.S. corporations are facing and also increase domestic job opportunities. www.change.org/PartnerWithKoreaAct
