We’re delighted to announce that the ASSIST Programme – designed to boost #aerospace innovation in the West Midlands – has been successfully completed, and we’re recognising this milestone at Farnborough Airshow.   🔎 The ASSIST project was a pilot focused on supporting lower-tier aerospace suppliers in the West Midlands - an initiative of the West Midlands Innovation Programme 2.0 (WMIP 2.0) - delivered by the MAA. It involves a funding matchmaking process with six companies: A&M Pure Precision, Accura Engineering, Alloy Wire International, Graves Aircraft Components, Kepston Limited, and MJ Sections Ltd.   🎉 Today, a new report has been officially published sharing the findings from this important project which produced valuable insights. This week our team visited Farnborough International Airshow; the premier showcase for the Aerospace Industry. Our mission was simple: Explore the innovative technology that is being developed amongst Aerospace companies in what has often been seen as a quite a traditional industry. What we observed: 🛫 There is a strong drive to develop more efficient technologies to enable the Net Zero transition, we saw great examples across the entire aircraft 🚁 Core principles of research and engineering transfer very well between industries, especially as Aerospace aims for Net Zero 🛫 Companies who can efficiently navigate the development and entry into service of innovative technology whilst complying with complex regulations will do well 🚁 It was great to see so much government and regional support for companies, clearly Aerospace brings important benefits to these areas 🛫 Advanced Air Mobility (AAM/eVTOL) is a focus for value growth in the industry, attracting multiple automotive industry partnerships – but there’s still a way to go before it becomes a commercial reality At Pi Consultancy our first principles approach to problem solving and value creation is extremely well suited to industries in transition towards Net Zero…What are you waiting for? #FIA24 #Aerospace #Mobility #AAM #eVTOL
