Happy Flag Day! TEP honors the United States flag today and throughout the year through our partnership with Flags for the Flagless. We regularly roll out our bucket trucks to raise donated flags across the community. We also worked together to install a flag at Willie Blake Jr. Park.

Crisis, such as the tragic fires in and around Ruidoso, reveal the character of people and businesses. Such as the extreme leadership of MATI’s Godfrey Enjady working tirelessly with friends, such as PVT’s James Meyers, to restore vital communications within and outside of their own service areas. Or the local businesses working together to meet the needs of those impacted. Local businesses matter and will be there when needed. I so appreciate the efforts of PVT’s employees organizing this effort to bring supplies to those in need. Chris & Tabitha Davis , Cassie Florez , Daniel Rodriguez, SHRM-CP and Ross Horner.
PVT would like to thank people in our communities for dropping off donations, and special thanks to Oasis Christian Fellowship in Carlsbad. Last night, PVT employees delivered the first truckload to the Mescalero Community Center. Two more truckloads to follow.

Good to be involved with such a noble cause..
Our Custom Bespoke Jackets are becoming famous! Keir Starmer’s glitter jacket from Labour conference raised £2,700 at auction yesterday, with all proceeds donated to support our work. The jacket was covered in glitter by a protester during Starmer’s leader’s speech and though no harm was caused by the incident, the ease at which the protester was able to get to Starmer was a stark reminder of the security risks faced by elected representatives. #bespokeframing #framedjacket #Framedsuit #custombespokejackets #framedmemorabilia #generalelection2024 #generalelection #jocox #jocoxfoundation #customframing #labour #keirstarmer #charity

We're thrilled to announce our partnership with County Cycles as part of our training journey for the upcoming Khmer Quest event! Their support has been invaluable, and we're deeply grateful for their commitment to our cause. Not only are they sponsoring us, but they're also going the extra mile by organizing an event to raise funds for the beneficiaries we support. This level of dedication from County Cycles and other organizations like them is what makes events like Khmer Quest possible. We're truly humbled by the generosity and support we've received, and we're more motivated than ever to make a meaningful impact in our community. Huge thanks to County Cycles and everyone who's helping to make this journey a reality! You can buy tickets for the event and visit the store at; https://lnkd.in/g4DHbXmK

If you are wondering what kind of impact your business can have for a not for profit organization, check this out. This is the third year in a row that this local business has turned over the proceeds of mulch sales for the day, totaling roughly $10,000. That kind of support is huge for Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington. The relationship started with a #CSGW presentation where owner Marty Young was in attendance. He learned how the program worked and how it could be an impactful tool for #CommunitySafety. As a business that has been impacted by crime, he felt this was an organization that he could support. Aligning your business with the #CrimeStoppers brand isn't just a smart move for community engagement, it can actually be a boost to your profile. Consider partnering with your local program.
Wow! Another awesome #MulchSale year in #MountForest . Thank you to Marty Young and his team at Young's Home Hardware who donated ALL proceeds from this year's sale. Here Marty, left, is joined by #CSGW Past Chair Deryck West. Outstanding support from this community partner! Shout out to our #Guelph partners, Andre Belisle and his team at JL's Home Hardware for raising $1,776 for our program during #MayMulchMonth.

Access to justice is essential for individuals and society at large. Law influences many aspects of social life and recent research shows that 2 in 3 people have faced a legal issue in the past four years. The most common issues? Employment, finance, welfare and benefits (28%), wills, trusts, probate (26%), consumer problems (26%), and property-related matters (25%). These often arise during major life events. Despite this, many do not seek legal help due to a lack of awareness of their legal rights, difficulty navigating the legal system, financial constraints, uncertainty about where to find legal advice, physical inaccessibility, or a lack of confidence that they will receive help from someone who understands their background and experiences. Research highlights the negative impact unresolved legal issues can have on our physical and mental health. In the last quarter, the ARU Law Clinic provided free legal advice to over 200 clients on family, employment, immigration, personal injury, and medical negligence issues. In times of economic, political, social and technological change, access to legal help is more important than ever. Please support the The Access to Justice Foundation to help fund free legal advice in communities that need it most. There is still time to register. You can do so as an individual or as a company. Community impact? The primary impact of this firms business model increases homelessness (currently at 10K+ homeless people on any given night) by gentrifying neighborhoods and forcing people who make less money out. "Global day for people and planet" yet the firm musters up 2 small bins of mostly dog and cat food...this doesn't even align. How about taking on projects that actually help to reduce the number of homeless people in the city instead of ones that are for the affluent population and for corporations to profit from. I hope other architecture studios in Toronto can learn from these fake displays of positive community impact. Many studios like this promote themselves as doing good but really at a foundational socio-economic level, they drive some of the biggest problems in the city. #thinkcritically #communityimpact #torontohomeless
Last week we supported Patcraft's Global Day for People and Planet initiative by filling two bins in our Annex with donations for several SPCA locations throughout the city. Great work team! #communityimpact
