Today I participated in a panel discussion about LGBTQ+ allyship. It was pretty powerful to hear people in the community share their realities. It also made me realize that raising LGBTQ+ awareness has a lot in common with business transformations. It’s all about driving a mindset and cultural change. I would argue that leaders have a responsibility to set the tone and encourage people to speak up and step up for others. Making people feel comfortable at work so they can perform at their best simply makes business sense. Take a look at the Pride Reflections posted in the Trivium Packaging feed. Couldn’t agree more with @Robert Huffman. I found the discussion extremely touching, honest, and inspiring. The Business Service Sector in Hungary has come a long way and is quite diverse and inclusive, but there is more work to be done. My key take-away from the panel discussion is that I as a leader needs to drive the discussion and implement initiatives that will ensure everybody has a voice and the same opportunities. It sounds easy, but listening – truly listening – is probably one of the most difficult things a leader has to do. #Triviumpackaging #BSC #Diversity&Inclusion

With this week marking National Inclusion Week, it’s a great time to focus on why inclusion matters.
