I can argue about the positives of a referral program and the negatives, however I will make it brief. Please feel free to disagree or agree with me. I believe that a referral program gains the attention of a hiring manager or committee. Even if you are unqualified or not suited for the job, they may see you fit into another role and may even call you up to discuss the same. In most cases, referral programs are based on nepotism that runs rampant in many industries. While there maybe some suited to the role, there are many others who are not. When these 'unqualified' applicants are referred to based in nepotism, they are selected solely on the basis of nepotism despite having no qualifications or suitability for the role. #recruitmentdrive #policymakers #careers #jobseekers #humanresources #Tesla #ElonMusk #drivingchange #socialmedia #trendsetter #publicrelations #digitalmarketing #AI #hireme #hiringnow
Stop referring people to positions they are not qualified for. Most companies have some sort of a referral program and many offer a bonus of some sort. It makes sense to refer your previous colleagues, friends, etc. to roles within the company you work for. Discuss these positions with you referral beforehand though! Last thing they want is 20+ rejection emails for positions they were never that interested in to begin with. #AARonThoughts
