💧 It takes approximately 2600 liters of water to produce a #cotton shirt. If a person drinks 8 glasses of water every day, it can last for 3 and a half years. Are you surprised by the above data? The #fashion industry is the world's second largest water user and also causes 20% of industrial water #pollution worldwide. Cotton is the most commonly used natural fiber and one of the most chemically dependent crops in the world, used in nearly 40% of clothing. 🌫 To this end, a positive response has been made by introducing efficient and #water-saving textile machinery and optimizing dyeing processes to reduce water consumption in the production process. We encourage the use of sustainable fibers such as organic cotton, recycled fibers, and natural fibers to reduce reliance on resource intensive fibers such as #cotton, actively participate in international certification and standard systems, and obtain professional certifications such as 🌍 GRS and OEKO-TEX. Z&C Garment once again calls on the fashion industry to practice green clothing production and contribute their own strength to environmental #protection! #fashion #fashionindustry #fashiontrends #save #saving #savewater #protection #cotton #certification

Manufacturing and Supplying yarn/ fiber/textile/ fabric and other agricultural products from Pineapple leaves or Banana tree
🌍 Explore the leading trend in the textile industry. Nowadays, modern consumers pay more and more attention to sustainability and environmental consciousness, as well as their concern for community and planetary health in their clothes. Therefore, the textile industry has a strong shift in the trend of using raw materials toward eco-friendly natural materials to adapt to the customer’s desire or they will be eliminated from the market. The government's severe environmental rules have required local clothing producers to use green raw materials such as eco fibers: pineapple fiber, banana fiber, organic cotton….to reduce the giant amount of textile wastes, disposal of synthetic sources of fiber production. Eco fiber fabrics with antimicrobial, hypoallergenic, insulating, UV resistant, highly breathable, and absorbent properties are projected to increase their importance in the apparel industry. Pineapple fiber is flourishing due to these natural functionalities and the dual benefits of reducing agricultural waste and greening the textile industry. Global fabric mills, Yarn mills, Textile mills are racing to use this fiber in improving their products to meet the government's requirements and leading the market. 👍 Don't hesitate if you don't want to leave the race early. #ecosoi #pineapplefiber #pineappleyarn #pineapplefabric #pineappletextile #vietnamecofiber #ecoyarn #pineapplefibertextile #ecofiber At Veco Pineapple Fiber

Reclaimed cotton is our ethical and ecological choice. But why, you may ask? The production of cotton requires an astonishing amount of water. It Is estimated that for every kilogram of ready-to-use cotton, a whopping 10,000 liters of water are needed! By transitioning to recycled cotton, we can extend the lifespan of an existing fiber. This not only reduces the need to exploit additional environmental resources but also minimizes the use of chemicals and pesticides: ⚡️20% less energy (Source: BeSustainable) 💧80% less water (Source: Textile Exchange) We work closely with our partners throughout the supply chain to incorporate more recycled cotton in our raw materials wherever possible. Since its introduction in our products, we have made a significant impact by reusing an impressive 7,523 kg of cotton! #atlantisheadwear #sustainableheadwear #headwearevolution

Why polyester? This is one of the most common questions we get since launching Syre. Polyester is the most widely used and fastest growing textile fiber in the world with approx 60 million tons produced annually. It is used across industries and is a very strong fiber that offers performance other fibers cannot provide. You find polyester in a range of products, from sports and outdoor apparel to seatbelts, airbags, and furniture. Polyester is however also the biggest emitter, accounting for as much as 40% of the textile industry’s CO2e emissions. Virgin polyester is made by crude oil and recycled polyester (rPET, bottle-to-fiber) is a linear and not a circular solution. By implementing textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale, Syre will put textile waste to use, over and over again. As a start, we focus on polyester – offering circular polyester with superior sustainability performance to all brands across industries with true circularity targets. Did you know? Cotton is a versatile, natural fibre that helps meet the needs of a growing global population. Every part of the cotton plan can be used to create resources that are essential to everyday life, from textiles and medical supplies to cooking oil and livestock feed. Cotton can do it all responsibly - meaning that with a solid commitment to responsible production practices, cotton is a fibre we can trust. Thanks to its natural comfort, durability, and versatility, it remains a staple in the clothing and textile industry and is also used to make a variety of consumer and industrial products like ropes, tents, bandages, and papers. Cotton is a durable #sustainable material that is ideal for reuse. This means cotton products can find new life when they no longer can be worn or used. Cotton can be broken down into its natural fibrous form and reused to make various things from yarn to padding even after it has reached the end of its life. Through the Cotton Lives On™ recycling programme, worn-out cotton clothes and textiles are #recycled to make insulation pads for roll mats and other community-serving products. Visit https://lnkd.in/eYh7HQ4i to learn more about the sustainable life of cotton and how you can make a difference with your old, unwanted, and outloved #cotton clothes and #textiles.

A pair of jeans consumes between 10,000 and 20,000 liters of water for production, including cotton farming. Additionally, the denim industry consumes approximately 84,000 tonnes of sodium hydrosulfite and about 50,000 tonnes of synthetic indigo annually to dye the jeans, requiring almost 30 gallons of water for every pair. 💧 Approximately 0.5 kg of chemicals, such as insecticides, dyes, and wetting agents, are used to make each pair of jeans. These substances are dangerous to humans and animals and contaminate soil and water. The chemicals used in the dyeing process are alkaline and caustic - making effluent management hard. ⚗ The energy-intensive process of manufacturing jeans emits greenhouse gases. ⚡ High utilization of low-quality materials to make fast-fashion jeans causes frequent discarding after a few years. Fast fashion items produce 2.5 kg of CO2 during manufacturing and transportation, which is 11 times more than jeans and deteriorates over time. 👖 #CodeEffort #SustainableMerchandise #SustainableFashion #JeansMadeFromCigaretteButts #FashionRevolution #RecycledCigaretteButtMerchandise #RecycleTheButt #SmokingIsInjuriousToHealth #Sustainability #CircularEconomy

Transforming the Textile Industry: The Power of Hemp Textiles 🌿 At flags.earth, we're pioneering a sustainable revolution in the textile industry with our organic hemp textiles. Traditional textile manufacturing is known for its significant environmental impact, especially in terms of microplastic pollution. Synthetic fibers like polyester, widely used in clothing, release microplastics with every wash, contributing to ocean pollution and ecological imbalance. Our hemp textiles offer a game-changing alternative. 🌏 Hemp, a robust and fast-growing crop, requires minimal water and improves soil quality, making it an eco-friendly resource. Our hemp flags and textiles are not only CO2-negative but also free from microplastics, offering unparalleled durability and minimal environmental impact. www.flags.earth. By choosing hemp, we're not just creating sustainable products; we're actively working towards a cleaner, healthier planet. We're committed to empowering communities, supporting marginalized groups, and leading the way towards a more responsible fashion industry. Join us in our mission to regenerate and transform the industry. Let's create a future where sustainability is the standard, not the exception. 🌱 #EarthFlags #Sustainability #EcoFashion #HempRevolution #Innovation #RegenerativeFashion
