Thanks again Completely Retail Marketplace for another brilliant event. Great to meet so many interesting and inspiring individuals. Some key takeaways from yesterday's excellent panel speakers and attendees: 1. The retail world as we know it is constantly evolving and landlords need to be working together with the community and truly understanding the business and branding of their tenants for a more collaborative approach. 2. Pop ups are the way forward! These are great for landlords and tenants alike. Helping to tackle business rates on empty properties whilst giving small businesses an opportunity to try out their scheme on a short term basis. There is definitely a great future in store for brands like The Artist's Window (Tim Struth) and Ark Jewellery by Kristina Smith . 3. The retail market needs to address the needs of Gen Z and bring them back to shopping centres/the high street. Innovative measures need to be taken. Brilliant forward thinking by Diane Shawe founder of Innovo offices in Dudley, helping individuals have a platform for renting work spaces and desks at affordable prices, bringing them back into the high street. 4. Retail is not just about selling products anymore, it is about selling an experience. Great to see so many new and upcoming brands embracing this. I loved the Kidzone concept founded by Sumera Kidwai helping children get involved in science experiments in shopping centres whilst parents shop! Delivery of delicious warm cookies from Insomnia Cookies at 3am may just be what the UK has been missing!

Why having a holding company and operating structure in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) is perhaps the best option when you’re wanting to list on ADX Having had the joys of being associated with couple of IPOs following this option, there are couple of very important additional benefits. First is that the firm is governed under English common law. A very large number of global institutional investors prefer to have English common law as the jurisdiction where the entity is based. So why make it difficult for you to have primary or secondary market investors? Second is that Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) itself has a very large number of institutional investors (SWF’s, institutional investors, international banks, family offices etc) present either directly or via investing vehicles such as SPVs or RSCs. So local liquidity is present and financial vehicles are present. Simples eh? Makes the book building process mucho easier. Happy days.

Now here comes the wrap up for MC6359 and MMC program☺️. It was literally an intense journey, thanks to all the group members, thanks to Pei Wen Wong ，we have spent the days and nights together struggling to present an infectious and interesting pitch to everyone. I would also like to thank Gautam Ramdurai who gave us an impressive and energetic speech, and led us to rethink the meaning and evolution of social marketing in today's world. I was inspired by his insights on social, emotion and influence, and I kept thinking about what we can adopt to improve our re-branding strategy for our group project. At the beginning of the project, we decided to look for a medium-sized company that is well known but whose business problem has not been fully analysed and solved. That is Chayanyuese, a neo-Chinese style tea drink with roots in traditional aesthetics, a milk tea brand that once had explosive attention and popularity but in recent years has gradually fallen out of competition in the market. We planned to analyse its strengths and weaknesses from a content marketing point of view and develop a rebranding plan for him. We spent a lot of time doing desk research, analysing and summarising the reasons beneath its business problem. And through continuous discussion and brainstorming, we proposed how Chayanyuese could improve its marketing and branding presentation while maintain its existing style and features, which is really inspiring. It was a journey of learning, a journey of progress, besides, the temperature brought by MMC, WKW is unforgettable. That is the end of my MMC story, but also will be the beginning of a new one😊. ＃MC6359 ＃MMC
