Such a big Nation like the US has been living too long in the illusions of Hollywood and Superheroes They prefer a big lie instead of an honest truth. The primary rules followed are: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe. Following the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.

I believe several will remember this clip, not only from the HBO show, but from YouTube or other sources of media...like this one. I'm reposting because it gave me pause. There are a lot of options out there, maybe that's the answer, free thought and expression. But that's not a claim to fame, even unique today. I read a lot of the original comments, people seem to be looking for a fight, looking to identify drama. Worse, looking to make it about them somehow. My opinion. Greatness is a belief that you, the individual, can accomplish what you want in life for you, for others. But, believing doesn't make reality alone. Work, study, discussion, listening, acknowledging that another's opinion is just that, an opinion (educated or not). We don't have to take words and turn them into drama, into action resulting in violence. Hate. I believe "greatness" begins with a choice and that choice maybe different for many. Just having the choice is a start, but not the end,...not even the journey. We are too far ahead of ourselves and believe we deserve what we didn't work for..., not all, but enough. Life is a challenge, and that challenge begins at childhood, even though most of us never realized it. Most of us just woke up one day and knew we were now an adult. Steps were missed, opportunities. My opinion is that greatness is awareness. With awareness comes choice. Comes strength to stand behind and hold one's ground. But these choices, these realizations do not give another permission to claim superiority. I believe in time. Time is the great equalizer. With time the lowest level employee can become CEO. With time the cure for a life ruining disease can be cured. With time we can answer life's most difficult questions, help others understand these answers. But it goes both ways. With time we can start a war. We can create a genocide. With time we can grow hate. Being great starts with the individual. The individual then has to own the immense responsibility, whether they know it or not. We can be the greatest country again, but only time will tell. Opinion.

Not entirely factual but still very accurate in base - & louder for those in the back.

Box To Box Films is the company behind the success of the über-popular "F1 drive to survive" Netflix series. More recently, 𝘽𝙤𝙭 𝙩𝙤 𝘽𝙤𝙭 cooperated with top-notch journalists to produce this new Apple TV+ documentary about... 𝙖 𝘽𝙤𝙭! 📦 The box Carlos Ghosn hid in as he fled from Japan. 📦 Of course the documentary is about far more than just the box itself : it is about M. Ghosn's troubled family history, about Corporate governance, about power, about corruption ("absolute power corrupts absolutely") about revenge and about politics. Many carreers and lives - mine included - were impacted by Mr. Ghosn's meteoric rise ... and perhaps even more by Mr. Ghosn's icarian downfall. Eventually, this led to the Renault-Nissan alliance being "re-ballanced" in favor of the company Renault had saved from bankruptcy in 1999 by injecting cash and talents. In other words, Renault got robbed. But this is another story. I have little doubt that this fresh insight into Mr. Ghosn's reign at the helm of the Renault-Nissan Alliance will be of interest for many of us ! #ghosn #alliance #renault #nissan #nissanrenault #carlosghosn #boxtobox #power #corruption #revenge #japan #coroporateworld #corporatelife #governance
