Read blog > https://lnkd.in/gyeR5cnr “We cannot afford to keep forcing corporate functions to re-engineer themselves fundamentally in order to accommodate generic, off-shelf technology solutions. Thankfully, we no longer need to. Today, one of the most important factors we need to embrace is the speed at which technology is advancing. Everything is changing. And it is changing for the better. The ability to develop bespoke technology at an enterprise level is now with us.” Infosys Portland Director John Hatton, FCIPS, in the final blog of the series on adaptive #transformation, discusses how disruption can lead to innovative solutions. This thought leadership is already taking place in mature #procurement functions globally as they embrace “the adaptive potential of their technologies and the valuable management information now readily available to users, as and when they need it.”

Transformation isn't a destination - it's a constant journey. Transformations fail because we become myopic on getting to the 'end' and we will be 'transformed', as opposed to adapting to what is happening around us and pivoting as required to deliver the most optimal result. John Hatton, FCIPS new blog about adaptive transformation speak exactly to this point.

An interesting point of view paper authored by my Capgemini colleagues Yathish Kumar R, PSM and Yashkant Gupta about how #IT organizations can unlock efficiencies through vendor consolidation. Key takeaways: 1. A single point of contact for IT services removes communication complexities, enhancing service levels, and freeing critical resources for other IT initiatives. 2. Having fewer vendors leads to a streamlined procurement and invoicing process, thereby reducing the administrative workload. 3. Consolidation is a smart move that boosts #OperationalEfficiency. It has the potential to push the business model to the next level, making it a step worth considering in the journey towards better business performance. Further, they also discuss some of the challenges on the way and break down a roadmap for a successful vendor consolidation.
