Candidate Experience - Why it's not just important for the 1% of candidates you do hire but also the 99% of people you don't. Why is ensuring you deliver an excellent candidate experience so much more than focussing just on the people you hire. This week's 'Thursday's Thought' is for our Parents / Caregivers, and Teachers.. The myfuture website offers a wide range of resources to assist those Students preparing for post-school pathways. As the school year unfolds, and we look towards University and TAFE Open Days, where our Year 12s will look towards possible higher education next year, considering entering the workforce and developing critical workplace skills could also be an option. The ability to articulate what you have to offer an Employer is critical in the job search and recruitment process, and these resources assist you 'tell your story'; on paper and in person. I was once asked by a Parent "Isn't there a risk in taking a gap year?" to which I replied "What's the risk of not taking one?"... Direct entry from Year 12 to TAFE or University is not for all, as each Student is different, and each will find their way; surrounded by support and evidence-based careers information. #athletewellbeingandengagement #gapyear #postyear12pathways #evidencebasedresearch #careers #careerdevelopment #careerpractitioner #highereducation #graduatecareers

There really aren't that many labs that are the perfect fit for you. Once you filter for: 1️⃣Location 2️⃣Desired salary 3️⃣Interesting topics 4️⃣Proper environment 5️⃣And time commitment You're left with about 5-10 labs. Figuring out where you need to go and how to get there takes time. Sometimes years. Put everything you have in building your vision and then take steps towards it. Step by step will get you far. But only if you know where you're going. P.S. What are some criteria you use to find your lab positions? ♻️ Repost this so someone who needs it can see it.
