Health coverage is foundational: it facilitates access to health care services, provides financial protection against unexpected and high medical costs, and supports better health outcomes. More than 1.2 million Georgians, however, lack health coverage, due in part to a coverage gap where people with incomes above the Medicaid eligibility limit but too low to qualify for subsidies in the Marketplace have no viable options for health coverage. 🌟 Patient-Focused Screening: A Call to Action! 🌟 It's time to flip the paradigm in healthcare. Instead of care being trickled down to patients, we need to prioritize a model where the healthcare system is responsive to patient needs. The only way to drive meaningful change is to demand comprehensive screening. When patients advocate for their health, providers and insurance companies will take notice and adapt accordingly. Let’s work together to transform the system for the better! *Print this and use it* #PatientAdvocacy #HealthcareTransformation #Screening #PatientCenteredCare #HealthcareInnovation #DemandChange #IngramScreening

Highly suggest checking out Function Health, founded by Mark Hyman, MD, if you're interested in preventative care and longevity. Function Health provides affordable access to 100+ blood tests twice a year, without battling insurance companies on why you need the tests. One of the most powerful data sources in healthcare is our blood. I recently received my test results back and have never felt this level of autonomy over my health before. Shifting from reactive to proactive healthcare starts with root-cause medicine. Do you agree or disagree? 🏥 #digitalhealth #functionalmedicine #longevity #innovation

This is critical. "Behavioral health" carveouts mean that my patients can't even locate covered providers. They are misled by United Health, Aetna, Cigna, etc, to think that coverage is equal when it is not. They are either not covered at all, and counted as "out of network, not counted for deductible" or with a dramatically higher copay, even when providers are contracted with the umbrella organization. Patients who are suffering find doctors on the insurance company website only to be told that they are not actually covered. https://lnkd.in/gDme8sWB
