Breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for boys and men of color in California is not just a mission, it’s a movement. For the past decade, The Center's California Funders for Boys and Men of Color (CFBMoC) has united leaders from top philanthropic institutions to ensure that our young men of color thrive. Young men of color in California need full inclusion and access. As they flourish, so does California’s prosperity. #CFBMoC #BreakingBarriers #CreatingOpportunities #Inclusion #CollectiveImpact #BoysAndMenOfColor #CaliforniaProsperity #Philanthropy #EquityForAll Christopher Cooper, MPA

We recently received a special recognition at the 29th Annual Dragon Boat Festival from Advocate Sacramento (OCA) for our efforts supporting a grassroots, community-driven approach to encouraging 2020 Census participation. Our work helped to increase participation in communities that have been historically undercounted, like in the Southern San Joaquin Valley area. It was a privilege to be in the company of esteemed peers, including the Sacramento County District Attorney, Thienvu Ho, and California State University-Sacramento Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Center. The Center at Sierra Health Foundation's President, Kaying Hang, graciously accepted the award on behalf of Sierra Health Foundation. Learn more about our work on the 2020 Census here: https://lnkd.in/gjFghtvW Special thanks to @EJ Pix Photos and Tia Gemmell at Riverview Media Photography for capturing this event.
