Swiss-based tech company Daedalean AI has announced Bas Gouverneur as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Gouverneur joins Daedalean after a successful four-year tenure as Chief Technology Officer at RUAG, a Swiss aviation technology leader, where he focused on strategic technological innovations. Gouverneur takes over from Dr. Luuk van Dijk, Founder of Daedalean, who will continue as Executive Chairman of the Board and head the company’s regulatory relationships with the Federal Aviation Administration and EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency. Dr. van Dijk will also focus on important technical projects within the company. The transition phase will last six months, with Gouverneur officially assuming the CEO role in October 2024. “Daedalean has shown extraordinary capabilities in developing innovative software and hardware solutions. I’m thrilled to drive its strategy to penetrate the many market sectors where its technology will make a revolutionary difference in improving safety and efficiency,” said Gouverneur. Dr. van Dijk expressed confidence in Gouverneur’s leadership, stating, “I am happy to hand over the leadership to someone with such deep and extensive aerospace experience. I will continue to lead our certification efforts and look ahead to the next innovations that will move the company toward the ultimate goal of fully autonomous flight.” Founded in 2016, Daedalean aims to create an AI system that can outperform human pilots in all functions. The company is currently preparing to launch its first AI-based pilot assistance product, expected to be the world’s first certified safety-critical application for civil aviation. Additionally, Daedalean has welcomed Dr. Joschka Hoefling as its new VP of Product. Dr. Hoefling, formerly Chief Product Officer at Swiss UAV developer UMS SKELDAR, will align the company’s product strategy with market needs and ensure a strong product-market fit. “The board and investors extend their deep gratitude to Luuk for his tireless efforts in growing the company. We are optimistic that our innovations will meet with market success under the new CEO,” said Emmanuel Mogenet, Board Member. Time On Target Solutions was founded on the core belief and understanding articulated by Mike Ross in this post. This is why we are committed to showing up for our customers every day bringing with us a mission-focused, Don't Quit mindset. In partnering with our customers we help them work through and understand the difficult questions posed by technical progress: 1) How can our business increase safety, and at the same time increase efficiency? 2) How can our business reduce environmental impact and at the same time reduce cost? 3) How can uncrewed technology be applied in my industry? 4) What competitive advantage can our organization develop by utilizing drones and sensors? Please reach out to understand if we can help your business or organization leverage the most transformative aviation advancements in the last century. https://lnkd.in/dMBVhgmZ #safety #uncrewed #UMMAC #agtech #agtechinnovation #dronesforgood #drone #dronetechnology
The next decade of aviation is going to be more transformative than the entirety of the last century. When you couple the technical progress we've made in sensor technologies (especially cameras), graphics processing (GPUs), and ML and AI techniques, with recent regulatory progress toward allowing these technologies to be applied in the context of aviation, we're on the cusp of unlocking an entire suite of new advanced aviation capabilities across small uncrewed aerial systems, drone delivery, and urban air mobility that will be transformational. With that as the context - I could not be more excited to join the leadership team at Boeing Digital Aviation Solutions to stand up a new line of business focused on supporting these applications. The opportunity to found a fast-moving startup inside Boeing alongside legendary names like Jeppesen and ForeFlight to build tools to support the next century of aviation is a dream come true for me. Thank you so much to the global Boeing Digital family for the warm welcome at all hands yesterday, and especially to Brad Surak, Tim Schuetze, Kale Booher, Alistair Johnson, Naina Kumble Dhareshwar, Rick Schreiber, and Todd Hewlin for your support and counsel. If you're interested in building the infrastructure that will define the next century of aviation - let's talk... I'll be opening roles soon. #uncrewed #advancedairmobility #autonomy

Great Human Pilots Talent Vs. AI-Based UAV’s This great short video which I specifically selected to show you the power of “Mother Nature’s Air Power and Manmade Air Power” Whoever filmed this great video if you analyze very carefully the very first video frame of Hi-Tech Fighter Jets first “Salutes & Pay Tribute to an accident built Wind Powered Sailed Warship” and then they displayed their “Extraordinary” talent by breathtaking Air display and that's what “Human Pilots” are capable and NO other AI -Based Robot will "Never Ever" will be able to perform like this for sure. Therefore, Never Ever Underestimate Human Natural Talent with so-called AI-based UAVs or Robots with whatever Deep Learning cycle you program them will NOT be able to supersede the precision of "Human Brain Power" Talent.
