Here's how. → TJ Maxx sells things like fancy handbags and boujee bedding. All at crazy low prices. But where does it come from? It’s the stuff other people can’t sell. When manufacturers make too much of something, TJ Maxx snags the extras. And sells it for less. Lots of it. Almost $50B in 2023. → Costco goes one step further. Big designers don't even want to talk to the warehouse chain. It’s not cool enough for them. So Costco goes straight to the factories who make the stuff. Grabbing whatever they can. And those factories are pumped to work with Costco. It sold $242B last year. → eBay cuts straight to the end. We all buy too much stuff. It piles up. So eBay makes it easy to unload. And pocket a few bucks while we’re at it. eBay moved $73B of unwanted stuff last year. And kept $10B for themselves.
