🌊 El parque eólico flotante WindFloat Atlantic, el primero en el mundo en utilizar plataformas semisumergibles, ha superado las expectativas de producción, generando 320 GWh en cuatro años. 🌬️🌊 Equinor believes that lack of European manufacturing capacity is delaying the reduction of costs of #floatingoffshorewind projects 🚧 🎙️In a discussion with Montel News Iberia during a recent #Energy Day celebration in Paris, Director of Equinor France Renewables Alexis Darquin stated that the costs of #floating and #fixedbottom #wind projects (#offshorewind) which were previously expected to converge around 2035 are now pushed out until at least 2040 📈. He cites the primary reason as lack of #standardisation of European #manufacturing facilities, namely #turbines, #cables, and #floatingfoundations 🏗️ . This observation is just the latest in a growing concern that #European turbine #manufacturers such as Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, and GE Vernova are in danger of being overshadowed by cheaper turbines from #Chinese manufacturers such as Mingyang Smart Energy 🇨🇳. Although Equinor state that they have no ambition to be the first, they recognize that the lack of larger turbines can create complications when it comes to selecting EU #OEM’s. 👀 🌱 Will this impact #Spain’s offshore wind initiative? In a slow and steady year for Energy Transition, it's great to see announcements like this! 🌱 DH2 Energy has received the green light from the Aragonese Institute of Environmental Management (INAGA) to build the Hysencia renewable hydrogen plant in Huesca. With an investment of €70-80 million, this project stands out as one of Spain’s most advanced in renewable hydrogen production. Spanning 100 hectares, the plant will feature 35 MW of electrolysis capacity and 49 MWp of solar power. Ambas instalaciones compartirán el mismo punto de conexión a la red y utilizarán infraestructuras comunes como la subestación, que se ampliará. 💡 Este proyecto de hibridación es fascinante.
