On July 14th, Seneasy Intelligent's Manufacturing Business Unit organized a training session themed End-to-End Cost Management, aimed at strengthening cost awareness among grassroots management personnel, from team leaders and technicians to engineers, and enhancing the cost-effectiveness of the overall manufacturing process. Through a series of meticulously designed courses, the training is dedicated to maintaining a competitive edge in an increasingly competitive market environment. The training focused on comprehensive cost management strategies, from the construction of cost thinking and sharing of management methods to case analysis of on-site cost waste phenomena. Participants collectively explored effective solutions. There was also a special emphasis on integrating cost considerations from the product design phase, pursuing the ultimate efficiency and quality in the manufacturing process through lean production methods, while reducing overall costs through vertical integration of the supply chain. The training adopted a combination of theory and practice, with participants engaging in group discussions to delve into specific cost improvement measures for their respective areas. Based on the discussion results, each group detailed the implementation steps, expected goals, and completion timelines. This plan will serve as a guide for subsequent work, ensuring that cost improvement measures are effectively implemented and continuously tracked. This training demonstrated Seneasy Intelligent's high regard for manufacturing cost management and its determination to empower the team through professional training, highlighting the company's unremitting efforts in pursuing excellent operations. Subsequently, a culture of continuous learning and improvement will be established, with regular multi-level training activities conducted to cover a comprehensive professional capability enhancement from cost analysis, lean production to supply chain optimization, achieving sustainable cost optimization and creating greater value for customers.

A One Point Lesson (OPL) is a concise and focused training tool used to teach a single key point or skill. It's a simple, structured method to share knowledge and best practices, aiming to: 1. Improve performance 2. Reduce errors 3. Enhance safety 4. Increase efficiency A typical OPL consists of: 1. Title: Clearly states the key point 2. Purpose: Explains the reason for the lesson 3. Current Condition: Describes the current situation or problem 4. Desired Condition: Outlines the desired outcome or improvement 5. Action: Specifies the exact action or behavior required 6. Check: Details how to verify the change or improvement OPLs are often used in: 1. Manufacturing and production 2. Quality control and assurance 3. Safety training and awareness 4. Process improvement initiatives 5. On-the-job training and coaching Benefits of OPLs: 1. Quick and easy to understand 2. Focuses on a single key point 3. Improves knowledge retention 4. Encourages employee involvement 5. Supports continuous improvement culture By using One Point Lessons, organizations can effectively communicate important information, drive behavior change, and achieve performance improvements.

Quality tip of the week 44: TRAINING AND PROCESS CONTROL Process Control has the following key elements: --Conformity: Ability to meet the specifications and requirements outlined in the compliance documentation, in manufacturing and production. --Quality: Production must consistently meet Quality standards, with all possible means of control. --Troubleshooting: Solving problems that arise during production to enhance supply chain efficiency and facilitate the delivery of goods. --Waste Minimization: Eliminate steps that don’t add value to the product or provide value to the customer and achieve internal cost savings. Human Factor contributes significantly in all the Process Control elements above by the following: · Write an adequate and capable process. · Determine CTD & CTQ in the process. · Perform PFMEA to eliminate/minimize process risks. · Validate the process. · Author/Establish Control Plans to assure Quality into the process. · Establish effective and informative Process monitoring and reporting. · Solving process problems and lags. Therefore, training everyone associated with the process is crucial to Process Control. The majority of people learn best in a Receptive Learning setting. Where a teacher/trainer gives trainees/students new knowledge and skills. Then coaches them into putting new knowledge and skills into practice and relating what they just learned to what they already know. Then transferring what they just learned into their long-term memory(Experience). Teacher/trainer watches them perform tasks with their acquired new knowledge and skills to correct mistakes/misunderstandings and records the ramp up improvements. I summarize Receptive Learning as Teach, Coach and Watch Approach. Any training that does not have interactive questions & answers nor correct a misunderstanding, does not contain the Teach, Coach and Watch approach. Therefore, it cannot suffice for Process Control.

TRAINING Your employees can achieve maximum efficiency and productivity, but only with the proper training. To minimize costly production delays, operators, engineers, and technicians must be sufficiently trained to optimize the performance of the equipment – or suffer the financial consequences of a poorly run manufacturing process. Our training courses focus on making your employees self-sufficient. That means empowering your employees with the skills and knowledge to operate, program, maintain and repair your equipment for the highest uptime and asset utilization. ITW EAE certified training courses are available for our Camalot, MPM, Electrovert and Vitronics current production machines. Classroom instruction is provided at training centers in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Camdenton, MO, Guadalajara, Mexico, Singapore, Alzenau, Germany and Oosterhout, Netherlands Germany. These courses utilize Performance Based Equipment Training (PBET), meaning, smaller classes with more time dedicated to individual hands-on equipment time. One of our qualified field service engineers may also be available to deliver customized training at your facility. ITW EAE also offers eLearning courses. These courses allow your employees to get beginning and intermediate level training on demand. Online training is a great option for training your team in an environment where travel is restricted, training budget is limited, consistency of training content is important, or there is a high level of employee turnover.
