Examples of NbS applications include coastal and wetland protection, forest landscape restoration, river space provision, sustainable agroforestry management, and the development of urban green and blue spaces.
What is nature based solution? Using living organisms such as plants, animals and microorganisms (biology), instead of using chemicals (chemistry) or machines (physics) for solving the problems of man, is NbS. How to develop NbS? 1. Rating and ranking of the plants, animals and microorganisms of thr world, on the basis of their ecosystem services (provisioning, regulating and cultural) to man. 2. Breeding of the top rated plants, animals and microorganisms to increase their efficiency. Example of NbS Polyculture (biodiversity based agriculture) is a NbS for solution of multiple problems such as deforestation, soil erosion, soil degradation, desertification of land, groundwater depletion, eutrophication, genetic erosion, climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, hunger, malnutrition, unemployment, poverty, indebtedness, violence, gender inequality etc.

1moNature Based Solutions...un tema antiguo que reaparece con otro nombre... la especie humana sobtevivio por miles de años gracias a la naturaleza generosa...pero de pronto surgió un fuerza brutal dada por el desarrollo industrial, maquinaria pesada, explotación a distancia, demandas exponenciales de recursos etc.. Individuos poderosos y gente pobre ...destruyendo bosques sin importar el futuro...intervienen la tierra destruyendo gran parte de la Naturaleza que antes nos sostenía. NbS no es más que un despertar tardío y aun poco extendido, hacia nuestra dependencia a la naturaleza. Me parece muy bien pero aun se percibe que no es un tema central entre los políticos. Mucho hablar y poco hacer.. salvemos al planeta gritan unos...pero es el planeta que se salvará de nosotros!
