It's a very exciting time for me at the moment (and also scary!) as the big bold moves just keep on coming! On Friday evening, I announced the launch of a brand new magazine for women in business and female entrepreneurs in Devon that I am creating in collaboration with Fran Minifie. Athena Magazine will showcase the inspiring local women and female-led businesses that we have here in Devon. We will be sharing their expertise, perspectives and stories. Why a magazine? Because, as I mentioned in my previous post, one of the main barriers that women face to starting and growing businesses is the lack of relatable mentors, sponsors, role models and networks. How much more relatable can you get than other women just like you who live in the same area? We will be covering business insights and advice from legal tips and tax advice to marketing, business support, finance and funding, networking and more. But we will also be taking a more holistic approach by including mindset, imposter syndrome, mental health and wellbeing, physical health and nutrition, along with a whole host of tools that women can use to help them navigate life and business and ultimately thrive. Athena magazine will be a digital publication to start with and free to read. But we are hoping to get some printed issues too. We are looking for advertisers who want to reach our target audience and have packages and options available for all budgets. We are also looking for inspiring women to feature and share their stories and insights along with women who would like to contribute to articles.
